On the way to Long Island, one of the organizers for the event I was going to called and said there is a problem. He is asking if the band I was with can lend the equipment they are lacking. I had to ask the owner and I would call you back I said. I called the owner also on the way to the event, and told him the problem. He did not answer right away. The first thing was, oh this is new and the previous one I had just got broken. And I had to wait for a while before I had bought this one because there are other more I prioritized. You see I am a family man. With those words, I already understand. So I called back the organizer and said, it is impossible that he can lend it, sorry. But the organizer did not just stop there. He asked again even more, oh don’t worry it is going to be just Parokya who will use it and not the other more bands. I assure you. so again I spoke to the owner, he cant believe that it would only be used by Parokya, but then out from his good self to help, so he helped with the assurance of only Parokya would it as it was said.
We arrived there thinking that the problem has been solved already. I was excited and happy there’s no more problem. The venue was almost packed not with people but with judgments, antagonism, hatred, curses, unforgiveness, so dark. In few more minutes staying there, It came to my attention that the solved problem earlier is still being talked about. The worse part there is they missed the truth. They missed the truth. Generosity for them turned out to be greediness. In the first place, yes it is the producer’s responsibility but since they asked for help, and so we gave help. a New Jersey Opening band was tasked to perform in queens, was asked to lend an equipment, helped out in selling tickets for the event, when there was no flyer for them yet, the band provided one before they have one, and then this band was given an impression of greediness? Whatever you do, if you already have that negative perception on to somebody, and whatever good this person does, still to you it is negative. I don’t I don’t like looking and focusing on the negatives of a person, I look at the positive side of a person. Each one is us is given a talent, use is well in a positive way. If there is an apology needed, we apologize if helping to you needs an apology. We apologize for this misunderstanding.
