Hey, sorry it took so long, but nothing interesting really happened until recently. Well, onto the updates! 3nodding
Well, remember that cherry shrimp Cherrib? Well, it turns out that we got a good deal for when we got her. She was pregnant and now there are a few baby cherry shrimp swimming around, so they will grow up and we wont have to buy any- as well as i am curious about how fast they will go.
The four ghost shrimp are still alive and thriving, moving around a lot and they like the fish flakes a lot, swarming right out and trying to make a go for them.
Anyways, onto the new fish!
A few days ago we went to a pet store to get five grown neons, four royal guppies (bright colored versions of guppies)- two male and two female, and then finally- an upsidedown catfish. This time there was no dead bodies within the tank, so that tells me that they have had chance to relax, thus being at their lowest of stress before their trip to their new home. When we got back, we did not put them in the tank right away like with the other ones. Instead, we put them in a bucket- all of them together with the water that they are used to and just slowly pour small amounts of water from the fish tank so they can adjust to it, then we put them in after a few hours.
Things seemed to be going well and so far within the tank they seem to be doing good. So far however, one neon has died and one of the female guppys are missing. I will have to determine that the female guppy is dead. I have also seen the upsidedown catfish swimming around last night, so it looks like we will be having surviving fish this time.
So, here's the statistics.
Neo: 1/1 Neon tetras: 4/5 Cherrib:: 1/1 Baby cherry shrimp: 2-5/? Ghost shrimp: 4/4 Royal guppies (male): 2/2 Royal guppies (female): 1/2 Upsidedown catfish: 1/1
There will be updates on this if something happens anytime soon- hope you enjoy! Please comment, ask questions and so on like that!
