Mental Paradise. ( Working Title ) |

I wrote this one is literally two minutes, at two in the morning one night.
After awaking from a dream, I had the first stanza set in my mind already.
I have no recollection of the dream, and I didnt really when I wrote this either.
I just went with what I had.
Im such a sound sleeper
Youll never wake me from my dream
Reality is Hell
I just wanna scream
Lifes a b***h
So take me away
Im gone to paradise
And here to stay
Ive been waiting
Locked inside this mental prison
Now the time has come
The opportunity has risen
Reality is that Im a loser
Stranded and alone
But in my dream Im a king
On a high and mighty throne
Lifes a b***h
So take me away
Im gone to paradise
And here to stay
It reminds me a bit of a song format since one stanza repeats itself, so Im going to try and put it to music as soon as I get my new guitar.
And FYI - I know the king part doesnt really work since Im a girl, but it seemed to fit better in the poem//song better for some reason.

You guys pretend
Like everything is okay
You laugh and you talk
As our family decays
What happened to the love?
Senses of security and joy
Turned to hostility and anger
Feelings becoming toys
Tears streak my face
You dont even see
Youre too busy yelling
Making old wounds bleed
I cant even picture
What It would be like
Without you together
My outlook is no longer bright
I wrote this poem in about five minutes, which doesnt happen for poems I like very often. This one was different though; I had fresh, miserable inspiration.

No one will probably care at all about this, but whatever. Im telling you anyway.
Okay, so today I took my first three finals. I had science first hour, math second, and japanese third.
First let me tell you something about me. Im a straight A student, always have been. I can be fairly mischievous at times, but generally I rarely get into trouble thats anything more that a,"Shut up and stop passing notes," sort of thing.
Okay, so back to my story. In first hour my teacher (who happens to be the biggest b***h ever) gave everyone like five minutes to review our study guides before we took the final. Well, my friend Shawna found a copy of the test on the floor. Instead of giving it to the teacher she took it back to her desk and started looking it over. She asked me the answers for a few of the questions she didnt know and started writing everything down on her hand. More people found out about the found exam, came over, and also started writing answers down too.
To shorten things up, heres a brief summary of the following events:
My teacher found out, sent us out in the hall, from there sent us to the office, where we were then sent to the principals office to discuss the seriousness of it all. We were in there for the entire hour being lectured on some boring s**t having to do with integrity and character then sent to our 2nd hours to take that exam. Some girls were balling their eyes out (pretending, of course. they would make amazing actresses) while the three guys in the room had to keep themselves from laughing themselves stupid.
The Good: As far as I know as of right now, Im not in any trouble. I just have to carry the weight of disappointment from my parents, teachers, and some of my friends around with me for a bit.
The Bad: I havent really had much time to talk everything over with my parents, since they had to go to work almost as soon as I got back from skool. This weekend is supposed to be a very busy one (I have three sleepovers planned, one bday party to go to, and some 200 water balloons to fill and bring to skool by Thursday), but that all may be taken away from me to be replaced with a content few days confined to the darkness of my room. God I hate being grounded.
The Ugly: Ive learned that my teacher spits -- a lot -- when shes totally pissed.
