The Velveteen Rabbit.
a little boy gets a Velveteen Rabbit in his stocking for christmas. he holds the rabbit close with him while he opens his other presents. the rabbit remembers the warm feeling he got when he was held by the boy. while in the toy box he only makes friends with an old, tattered, grey horse. the rabbit gets kinda depressed when he saw all the fancy toys, but the horse tells him "those shiney plastic toys are eazly breakable, and have nothing loveing inside of them. they can never be real." "real?" the rabbit aks "yes. only when someone truly loves you, can you be real." so the boy gets up and starts looking for his stuffed dog, and can't find it so he grabs the rabbit. he finds that he likes the rabbit more, and the rabbit has that warm feeling again. weeks go by and the boy takes the rabbit everywhere. then one day the boy leavs the rabbit under a tree to go do something, and sudenly it starts thunder storming. the boy is afraid of the lightning, so he runs off into the house and leaves the rabbit behind. he beggs and beggs his mom to go get the rabbit. she finaly caves and goes and gets it. when she comes in she says "i can't beleve i went out there for a toy!!" "he's not a toy!!" the boy protested "he's real!!" time passes, and the boy gets really sick. the rabbit is verry sad, but he tells the boy of all the fun their going to have once he gets better. the boy dies, and the boys parents deside to burn his things. the rabbit was about to be thrown in when two real rabbits come and stole him. the rabbit was very confused, then he say the tree where he and the boy would always play. he cryed seeing the tree, and wished he could be with the boy. opon hearing his wish a farry bonded the rabbit with the tree so that he would always be with a part of the boy.
