That's right, folks! I'm comin' at you with another Wizard platter to review. As you can tell by the title, our favourite German headbangers are serving us up their take on Norse folkore and legends and such.

Musically, it seems we've gone back into the latter 80's for the most part, evoking riffage reminiscent of Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Leatherwolf, Anthrax, and ... ah, I better stop naming bands now. Vocally, singer Sven D'Anno reminds me of Anthrax's Joey Belladona and yes, even the late Brad Delp in some bits, and even a hint of Queensryche's Geoff Tate.

Given the gloomy lyrical content, what with what Ragnarok entails and all, this is a rather fun album. They could have easily substituted "mosh" for "march" on "March of the Einherjer", and it would have fit. In that song, I can easily picture the guitarist dancing around in the loudest bermuda shorts, and making silly faces. xd Even the album finisher "End of All" has a feel of "Welcome to Uncle Odin's Apocalyptic Theme Park!" thanks to it's energetic, catchy chorus. xd

So anyway, I bought a box set o' the first season of Battlestar Galactica. But, that's not the real reason for this post. xd

As with any epic marathon of sci-fi goodness, I gots to have my pizza. And so, I went to do just that. And when the pizza dude arrived, the main door was open, with the shut glass door. And so, Coco likes to do his favourite thing as is his wont when by the door, which is set high jump records for cats under a year old. Actually, he likes to jump at bugs and crap that flitter about the outside light.

And so, the pizza dude arrives. And when I went to pay for the pizza, this is pretty much what happened ...

Pizza dude: Wow! I've never seen a cat jump like that before! eek

Me: That's Coco for you. He does that a lot.

Mind you, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Coco jumped to eye level with the pizza dude. xd That's how high Coco jumps.

If you answered either A or B to either question, then pat yourself on the back. For you have effectively mastered exchanging and purchasing the items you wish for!

However, if you have picked C for either, or both ... well ...

In the first instance, you would have to unequip the blasted thing. Why would you wear something you intend to sell?

In the second instance, that is just plain bad form. Do you honestly think that if someone is wearing an item, that they plan to part with it anytime soon?

Well, that just takes the biscuit. >_<

And once more, unwelcome bad news visits my door-step. This time, we're talking about my niece.

Yesterday, my mom and my sister took her to an eye doctor, as they were concerned that her eyes might not be up to snuff. And sure enough, we hear this li'l diddy: ocular albnism.

So yeah. A long story short, the pigment in her eyes is pretty funky, and when she's older, she'll definetely need glasses at the very least. Poor thing sounds as though she'll barely see for s**t.

I'm pretty pissed. The poor thing is barely 6 weeks old, and allready has this on her plate. She did nothing to deserve this. And on the behalf of little Allie, I honestly wish I could track down a party responsible for this, and raise Hel 'til s**t's made right.

Ok. As some o' you may know, I am indeed a Star Wars buff. And, well, if you didn't you do now! mrgreen

But, for me, there is one aspect o' the fandom that has always baffled me. Mandalorians. Am I the only one whom finds them over-rated and borderline lame?

I grew up with the classic movies. And let me tell you, Boba Fett is not exactly someone I feel should be respected and admired. In fact, the dipshits that built the EU in the 90's should have left Fett's a** in the Sarlacc Pit to rot. If I had my way, that's how Boba'd had met his end, and been done with it.

Seriously. A low life thug of dubious moral fiber? talk2hand "The number of lines I have in the movies you can count on one hand. And I work for the Star Wars universe's equivalent of the mafia." Oh wow.

I laugh my ******** a** off every time I watch Han bump into that fool's a**, and send him tumbling into the pit.

But no. Instead, the dolt came back in the EU, like a bad parody of Freddy Kreuger and Jason Vorhees rolled into one. I'd cheer when I saw our heroes get away from and outsmart the dolt once again.

And then, let us fast forward to 2002. Attack of the Clones. We meet Boba's "father", learning that the apple didn't fall too far from the tree. Hi papa Jango. Nice to see you're even lamer than your "son", whom is actually your clone! Lucas hit the bong again!

Then, the movie establishes that the original stormtroopers were all clones of Jango. Wow. An army of brain-dead grunting warriors. Take another hit there, Lucas?

And, the best part? Now Mando-lame-asses are now portrayed as Star Wars vikings, and Boba is just some ******** off hack that shouldn't be a representative of the race. Sure.

I'm serious here, folks. Nothing really makes me wish to impale my eyes with an oxidized feeding implement faster than the infamous "txt-tlk". I pride myself on having at least an average, if not above average, command of the english language.

Kids today are abyssmally lazy, in respect to how the tongue is horribly mangled. And worse, upon forums and the like, where, frankly, there is no excuse for it. Even moderators on the Dofus forums will reprimand you for using text-talk, or, as I tend to regard it, "noob-speak". I honestly wish the mods around here would do the same.

Of course, I'm not suggesting that it be a ban-worthy offense. Though I certainly wouldn't complain either, were such implemented. At the very least, I'd like to see this abominable practice discouraged.

Do these kids honestly turn in papers for school in such a disgraceful manner? I should hope not. Alas, I have heard a horror story of such, in which a school paper was presented in such a way. With any luck, the urchin earned an F, and was shamed in front of their peers enough to put some effort into things.

I also find this sort of thing to be a severe turn-off, in respect to a prospective romantic partner. The occasional misspelled word is fine, as I do not judge that harshly. However, if such looks and feels as though a 12-year-old authored such, with an abyssmally low IQ to match, then, I cannot be with such a person.
