The Eastern Order Incident may be the most pivotal point in the clans. The Ghost Lord attack was unexpected, unchallenged, and opened people's minds to the possibility of clan warfare... but the Eastern Order Incident highlighted the drama between massive influential spheres of reason.
The Eastern Order incident began to develop on December 20th, 2007. The goal was to cripple the largest clan in the Clans of Battle subforum. By using a complex method of code, mules, and resources, Luc_of_Chaos0911 set out to single-handedly cripple the Gaian Order of Demons. Inspired by the Western and Eastern Roman Empires, the goal was to permanently control both spheres by defining them and pitting them against each other.
The conclusion of the incident was largely unsuccessful in the beginning. No immediate repercussions were felt due to Luc's issues in delivery. However, the incident eventually created the foundation for relations between two spheres of clans.
The military organization is inspired by the incident's results but isn't a representation of the incident nor will it try to model the characteristics of the original order. However, I think the new organization's model will be very representative of advanced clan strategies. Suggesting that it will work in the military context is uncertain but in it's genesis... I believe it will be a success.
