~~~Episode Thirty-Nine~~~
*NOTE - This episode is a bit longer than the others...but Cybertron is about to be finished up and the true story is going to fall into play next episode.
Wheeljack stepped back, his optics locked on Soundwave as his audio receptors listened to Haku struggling against Laserbeak.
Soundwave fired again and the mechanic hit the ground the dodge the blast. He rolled as Soundwave continued firing before he finally got a chance to return the attacks.
Haku shouted, feeling the bones in his arm protesting to the way Laserbeak was gripping it. Ravage had gotten up and was looking up with angry optics; her tail swishing back and forth.
There was a blur of movement before Haku’s free arm was grabbed by Buzzsaw and Haku began to kick and curse wildly as he was taken higher from the metal floor.
“Haku!” Yuri shouted, her eyes wide as she watched. She glared stepping back from the bars before lashing out.
“Thunder!”
The blast of magic went rippling around the bars of the cage and after several sparks, the glow around the bars began to fade.
Yuri smiled, powering up for another blast of magic.
“Laserbeak, you’re gonna drop ‘im!” Rumble shouted, watching as the blond teen continued to struggle.
Buzzsaw gave a squawk of surprise as Haku landed a kick on the casette’s beak. Buzzsaw released the arm he had been holding as he fluttered for a moment and Haku grabbed his katana from his back.
“I said let go!” he shouted before unsheathing the blade and stabbing it up into Laserbeak’s leg.
Sparks rained down as Laserbeak shrieked in pain and Haku plummeted down. He glared, ignoring the pain in his arm as he tried to desperately think of a way to stop himself from crashing into the –
“Got ya.”
Haku gave a gasp as he hit metal, but it definetly wasn’t the floor. Invisible hands cupped around him gently and he heard Rumble curse.
“Slag! It’s an Autobot!”
Haku was stunned as the hands that had caught him appeared and then a bluish white mech appeared.
“The calvary has arrived!”
Wheeljack was holding a damage arm, Soundwave ready to attack when the shout came. The Decepticon turned to receive a foot in his chest and was sent crashing back by the smaller black and white mech.
Jazz smiled, standing at ready. Ironhide and Hound stepped up beside him, aiming at the cassettes and Soundwave.
“We don’t want any trouble – wait, what am I saying? You have about two nanoclicks to give the human femme back Soundwave.” Jazz snapped, glaring at the communications officer.
Rumble tensed, glancing at Frenzy and then at Soundwave as he waited for a response.
Bumblebee had managed to sneak over to Yuri’s cage and was in the process of breaking the bars until he again sensed something.
His gaze swept pass the confrontation to the doors and his optics widened slightly.
”Spike! Zeph!”
The said boys blinked as Bee’s voice came through the audios on their helmets and they went to step back…
Soundwave had already seen them.
“Femme is ours Autobots.” Soundwave said before firing at Jazz.
Jazz shouted, stumbling as he was hit and Ravage darted right through the Autobot’s legs.
“Slag! Ironhide, shes after Spike and Zeph!” Bumblebee shouted from his spot. Mirage quickly lowered Haku beside the yellow mech before disappearing once again and Ironhide was firing at Ravage angrily.
Zeph’s eyes widened as the black cassette came skidding around the corner and he quickly stepped in front of Sam. He pulled out his whip,
“Back off kitty!” he shouted before snapping the blue whip he held.
Blades of ice went screaming through the air and Ravage cried out as she was pierced in the leg and side. Laserbeak and Buzzsaw were flying towards them but never got the chance as they were both smacked out of the air by Hound.
The blaring of an alarm caught their attention and Jazz shouted,
“We’re getting outta here! Ironhide, Mirage – lead the way and blast down any ‘cons that get in our way! Bumblebee, Wheeljack, Hound – grab the humans! We’re rollin’!”
Bumblebee ripped two bars off of the cage, giving Yuri enough space to slip out. He transformed and she quickly got in. Wheeljack winced, stumbling back slightly before he transformed as well.
”Move it Haku!”
Haku was already running towards the Lancia and jumped in without hesitation. Ironhide and Mirage were firing rapidly down the hall, waiting for their comrades.
Jazz smiled, transforming as well and revving his engine.
“Let’s go!”
With that the Porsche went driving off, screaming down the hall and past the red and white mech.
Hound was following right behind him, Zeph and Spike within him as Bumblebee and Wheeljack sped to catch up. Ironhide blasted as Soundwave attempted to stop the Autobots again, hitting the Decepticon in the chest and arm.
“Move it Mirage!” Ironhide ordered before they transformed as well and zoomed after the others.
Jazz kept going, tearing down the halls with ease. Decepticons they passed were either to shocked by the sight of them zipping down the halls to stop them or were ran right over by the group.
All around, the sound of the alarm screaming and the red light now flashing caused confusion, but Jazz focused on the homing beacon coming from the pods.
He soon saw the exit and revved his engine in anticipation to get out of here…
“By Primus…” Jazz muttered, staring up ahead.
Megatron stood at the exit, his red optics narrowed angrily.
”Fraggit! Jazz, move outta ‘he way!”
Jazz barely had time to comply before Ironhide came roaring past him and straight towards the Decepticon leader.
With a flash of speed, Ironhide transformed and tackled into Megatron – tossing them both through the exit.
“Ironhide!”
“Keep going! Get to the pods!” Jazz ordered, silencing Bumblebee’s shout.
Once outside, Jazz transformed as well and turned to help the weapons specialist with Megatron only to see said ‘con throw Ironhide…right at him.
“Slag – OOOF!”
Ironhide slammed into Jazz, sending both mechs to the ground. Wheeljack looked up from his pod as he heard the camotion.
“Haku, get in and start the pod! Hound, Mirage - I need your assistance!”
“Wait, how do you start this thing?!” Haku’s question was left unanswered as the three headed to assist their allies.
Megatron turned, glaring at them.
“Foolish Autobots! You dare come into my base and expect to walk out alive?!” he shouted, aiming his cannon and firing at Mirage.
Mirage went down, his chest sparking violently. Megatron smirked before aiming and firing at Wheeljack.
The mechanic shouted, the attack grazing his side and tearing through the armor there and Hound took the blast to the chest.
Megatron cackled,
“This is to easy! I might as-AGHH!”
Several shots slammed into Megatron from behind and caused him to stumble forward. He whipped around to see Mirage standing, a smile on his face as Wheeljack and Hound helped Ironhide and Jazz stand.
“What?!” Megatron shouted, confused. He looked back at the Autobots he had shot down to see them flicker and fade and Hound laughed.
“Holograms are my speciality Megatron! I thought you Decepticons would’ve learned that by now!”
Megatron stood, firing angrily. Mirage disappeared and fired back on Megatron while the others made their way to the pods.
Wheeljack hopped into the pod and Haku slipped down from the seat’s arm onto the white mech’s leg.
“Let’s go! More Decepticons are coming!” Jazz shouted over their audios.
The pods all started up and zoomed up before zipping away towards the tunnel entrance. Megatron fired angrily at the retreating ships before roaring in anger.
“Decepticons, after them!” he shouted.
