I don’t get this, what is the entire point of “Meowbook”? It is exactly what it sounds like, a facebook for cats. WHEN DID MY CAT NEED HIS OWN FACEBOOK!? Is my cat going to be up until 2am playing “Meow-vill” and creeping on pictures of my friend’s cats? No, of course not. This is ridiculous. If you want to post pictures of your cat, do it on YOUR own facebook, don’t bother with making a “Meowbook” account. Cats are already all over the internet, and have been since the invention of a little well-known site called LOLCATS. SO, why do we need another site dedicated to cats? And while we’re on the topic, why not have a site for other pets. We’ll have “Bark-book” for dogs, “Squeak-book” for mice, “Squawk-book” for birds and for reptiles we’ll have “My ssssssssssspace”. Yeah, it is as dumb as it sounds.
And why should this affect my Gaia online account? Is Gaia online that strapped for sponsors that they need to suck d**k for a cat online network in order to remain online? I don’t think so, not with all the money that has been earned from buying the Gaia cash that we need in order to redundantly decorate our avatars in order to distance ourselves from the appearance of a “noob”. But that in itself is a whole other rant.
I was also informed that this was supposed to be some sort of April fools practical joke. First, April fools traditionally ends at 12:00 noon. Therefore, as I write this at 1:33AM, this joke is 13 hours and 33 minutes past it’s welcome. Also, a prank in my mind always involved some sort of trickery. This isn’t trickery, this is isn’t even a prank. It’s the equivalent of calling you hitting your roommate in the head with a pillowcase of apples a prank. There is no humour, no trickery and no enjoyment… it’s just stupid pictures of cats… just pictures…. Of cats…
