"You lied to everybody!" Chris shouted, pointing his finger accusingly at his ex-captain. Wesker chuckled softly. "Ah, really Chris?" He asked. "Yes! All the things you said, they were all complete and utter lies!" "Oh, that's where you're wrong. I told lies, yes. But what you don't seem to realize is that, deep down inside them, there was truth." "Bullshit! You never told the truth until I found you int hat damn lab!" Chris wiped the blood from his mouth and brought his gun down. Wesker moved and grabbed Chris by the throat, holding him up, just barely off the ground. The brunette struggled fruitlessly against the blond's hold as the latter waited for his tantrum to stop. "You know, Christopher, you really are bad at lying, even to yourself." Wesker said musingly. Chris's azure eyes widened and he glared at Wesker. "What the hell's that supposed to mean?!" He shouted angrily. "Well, for one, you're trying to sound as though you hate me, but I can hear every tremble and hesitation in your voice." Wesker reached up with his free hand and tapped his ear. "For another, you weren't really going to shoot me, even if you had been able to." Wesker leaned in close to Chris's face, his own inches away. "Now, why don't we put all intrigue aside and tell each other how we really feel?" Chris's eyes fasted on Wesker's cat-like orange ones, he couldn't look away. "I-" He started to say, and Wesker closed the gap between them.
