This is kind of standard for a first entry, but I'm basically going to talk about myself, how I came across Gaia, and things I want to do in the future.
Okay, so right now it's about two thirty in the morning where I live and I have the entire week off from school because of Thanksgiving break. I haven't been on Gaia for a while, and to be honest I never really did much with my acount; I was always too busy, and the only time I would post something in the forums was when I felt really angry or annoyed by something. Most of the time it would be about today's reckless youth and how they're "always listening to that crapy emo music." This is slightly ironic since I happen to be sixteen years old, and listen to Alkaline Trio and AFI of all things. Well, I guess they aren't exactly emo, but to be honest many people seem to catagorize them the same way; it isn't my fault that I can't catagorize every band into every specific sub-genre. It's quite demanding, don't you think? confused The lyrics for both bands have dark themes, and the lead singer for AFI talks about death, suicide, depression, and all that like there's no tomorrow. Thankfully Davey Havok is a damn good vocalist. (Sorry if I offended any of the bands' fans for calling them "emo," but you all hopefully get the point I'm trying to make.) Anyway, back on topic dang it! scream
Basically I don't want to act like an angry uppity b***h who does nothing but condemn things I don't like; I want to try and act more positive and whacky like I do in real life. I also want to get more involved with the Gaian community since it was something I never did when I was actually online. I'd like to have deeper discusions about comics, art, and politics like I originally planed a few years ago. On that note, even though I don't want to be cynical... I'd like to at least make fun a few over-zealous right-wing polititians once in a while; its good fun, and they're the only people I can hate and secretly love at the same time. xp
So this is what I hope to be a fresh start on Gaia, and I'm glad to actually participate on the site, even if I don't meet a lot of new people on the way. mrgreen
