Love is but a dream

Every day i think about you
In a simple dream
Where imagination meets reality
and nothing's what it seems

You kiss me here and i give back
A beauty that's to see
A whole new world, made in a mind
Built just for you and me

And in it all our trouble's gone
And the pain just melts away
And no regret of what's been done
In light of our hearts play

Where we can stare each other down
And it doesn't mean we're mad
Or if tears roll down our brightened cheeks
It doesn't mean we're sad

Where an upset frown just goes away
and turns into a smile
And i can prove my love to you
in every heartfelt style

Where i'd keep you warm if you were cold
and keep you dry from a monsoon
And together watch the sun rise high
and taken over by the moon

Where the sky turns red as in a blush
In such romance by the sea
Where these emotions give us such a rush
In this place known as Upendi

And so the bubble's burst
Disruption of the fame
And reality once more sinks in
And gives me all the blame

A blow to my spirit
As my eyes open and pupils just dilate
And cold tears run down my saddened cheeks
At realization of my fate

And the dream just fades into the dark
Leaving hope just a small gleam
And i get up and deal with the fact that
Love is but a dream
