My Lovely Rose
That rosebud so young and sweet, She caught my eye the moment she walked by, It was that smile so addicting that I could not turn away, Those eyes so hypnotizing that I could not help but sink myself in them, I watched her open her petals, so vibrant and full of life, That sweet rose so pure and yet so strong, Her petals as soft as a cloud;yet thorns as sharp as knives, Beauty so captivating that i found myself adoring her, That beautiful rose, so lovely so sweet, She was in my arms and the wind took her away, My hands so cold, My mind alone, Only sweet memories of my lovely rose, Her scent haunted me, I yearned for her again, Out of desperation I searched, I searched the world for a flower to compare, but none could compare to my lovely rose, None as beautiful, none as sweet, My days became empty and my heart hollow, Then the wind brought my rose back, But her eyes looked at another, Her scent no longer mine, Her fair soft petals now belonging to this other, All I could do was let my rose go. Oh sweet rose now in full bloom, so beautiful and fair, How I wish I could have your scent wrap around me once again
