This came to me when I was watching War of the Worlds...
Are we really the only creatures in the universe? In this system?
Did we miss something while we were looking for life forms in Mars? The moon, at that.
Will they suddenly attack, like in the movies? Or will they take their time to learn our culture, and then itoduce themselves to use during that time.
Will we even accept them for what they are, even if they speak the language that WE made? Or will we shun them aside,and banish them into the abyss?
And what if there ARE creatures like those, and the scientists just refuse to tell us because they think we are soft-minded? What if the time comes and the world is balanced on the peak of destruction? Who will come to save us?
What's more baffling to me is the question: Are we even sure that we are not just some tiny Quark in another infinitely larger system? That our whole universe is not just the size of a cell in the body of a much, much, MUCH, larger entity? Maybe all these advancements our technology has made is just part of the entity's growth, and as it dies, our so-called 'Big Crunch' will happen?
Don't you see? There'r too much questions to be asked, too complicated structure to the answers, and too little time for our mindless inquiries that we take too much time to 'research on the beginning of the world' that we don't even the realize the question in front of us...
Are we even alive?
