Running, running, running, I know it’s hopeless even as I race through the forest, the branches whipping at my face, cutting me, and I know these wounds are nothing compared to what I’ll endure if anything happens to her. They took her, they took her, they took her, my mind insists upon repeating, over and over again, forcing the thought through, pushing its way into my mind, making me accept what I’ve done, what I’ve destroyed. My hope that she’s not hurt is but thin, wispy smoke inside my heart, praying for a hint of possibility. But the real truth, the awful reality, the blinding light of a fact so horribly complete and actual comes searing at me, slicing through my heart, making my eyes go blind with tears, pulling me into near dizziness. In the second that the thought snaps through my mind, I know I can’t ever forgive myself.

That's the preview part....at the beginning, I mean. The rest of the book is a lot of stuff that leads up to that bit. It's about a girl named Isabelle Creour (I researched her name very carefully- Isabelle has its roots in meanings of beauty or grace, and Creour relates to....bleeding wounds) and what happens to her....see, her family is part of this crime organization, and they have a feud with another organization, and her brother Demetrius murders someone from the other family and...and...well, long story short she gets sent to boarding school, a safety precaution. It might have magic involved, it might not. It might have something mystical but different. And there she meets a girl and stuff and- well, I shall say no more!
