Here's a story of the Curious family in my game of Sims2.
First, Pascal had a baby. Yes. Aliens, you see. She was this tiny little green thing and I named her Celestia.
They got along well enough, since she didn't really need much more than food, diapers and sleep.
Every chance he got, Pascal visited Nervous Subject over at the Beakers' house. Poor Nervous, he was nothing to them but a test subject. Thus, of course, the last name.
Eventually Nervous moved out and Pascal could visit without fear of Loki throwing a hissy fit and beating him up.
Without Loki around to throw a wrench in the works, they developed crushes on each other and then fell in love. Awww.
About this time, Pascal's little alien kid decided it was time to grow up.
Here's a shot of the birthday party that would have been absolutely terrific except that I forgot to change the picture settings.
That's Celestia's uncle Lazlo holding her, her daddy Pascal at the end of the table, and Nervous standing over there. Nervous invited Olive Specter along, since I'd also been working on getting his relationship with her up. She and Vidcund were standing offscreen. Celestia had just changed to a toddler.
Here she is shaking the crib bars and wailing to be let out. Looks a little like a starving cowboy, doesn't she?
Oh, by the way, did I mention that Vidcund got alien-probed too? Here he is in his nice blue pajamas. Damn, how many kids has he got IN there?
And meditating to hold his needs at green, since I'd like to hold a wedding party for Pascal and Nervous today. Note stylish alien-print maternity wear.
Meditating in Sims 2 involves making monkey noises and waving your arms around a lot.
I got the wedding party stuff bought. I got Nervous invited over, and I got the party guests (Olive Specter and Circe Beaker) invited over. At which point Vidcund produced his alien spawn. Remember how I wanted to know how many kids he was carrying? Here's the answer - two. Twin girls.
I named them Isis and Bastet.
For some reason, the sims seemed to think the babies belonged on the floor.
That's Bastet. Or maybe Isis, I'm not entirely sure. Olive is sitting over at the left side of the picture, unconcerned about the small green person on the floor.
Here's a picture, taken long after the party, showing both babies and Celestia in their cribs. Yes, Celestia's glowing. I fed her Smart Milk and potty-trained her.
There's also a bed in there. Pity the poor b*****d who gets stuck with baby duty.
Back to the wedding.
Here we have the wedding. It's not the best shot, but it'll do. In the middle is the wedding arch. The lady starting to sit down at the far left is the maid, who invited herself. Behind Pascal's head you can see... some guy. He wasn't even supposed to be at the house, he just wandered in. He was a townie Pascal met once, I think, and he has some long name that I can't remember.
Everyone cheered, Nervous joined the family and got 8,000 aspiration points, and I bought some anti-aging elixir.
Interestingly, the maid didn't shirk her duties just because she was attending a wedding. She was roving around, picking up empty plates and washing them, all in her formal clothes.
I was about to order Pascal, whose Aspiration points were in gold, to drink some anti-aging elixir when this limo showed up. He and Nervous ran over and climbed inside while the game informed me that my party was a success.
This is the guy driving the limo. I'm not entirely sure I trust him with my Sims, but there's not much I can do about it.
to be continued...
