I heard your whisper as you came in last night
Your features are hidden from the moons silver light.
You walk across this small room
Casting out a becan of gloom.
God I love you so
But I only have your shadow.
It breaks my heart as you leave before morning light
And begs the question where do you go in your flight.

As your entoxicating presence kills my real.
Your shadow casts it presence across my bed
Screwing with the thoughts in me head.
I know I should end this soon
But when I see you against the moon.
My mind closes and i can't voice what i want to say

I sit here at my window trying to hang on
But in my heart I know you've finally gone.
Placing down my empty glass
I watch a solitary car pass.
You face still haunts my black dreams
And I wake hearing you laughing screams.
From that cold gray day
You guys decided to stay.
Oh how the light ruined your beautiful face
Burning your soul through your dark case.
I could hear the hesitation in your voice But it was dark and you said you had no choice.
Oh my darling shadow
I miss the moon on thee so.
How it hid your rugged features
As you kept away the creatures.
