[[ Honestly, I have no clue how that title came up. -_-;; ]]
So today was the first day of Saturday Academy. And for those who don't know, it was also... 14th January, 2007. Which means it's Kitten-chan and my 4th month anniversary. Huzzah!! And I spend it at a Saturday School. Typical of me, I know.
Anyways, so one of the Tutors named Billy was talking about Martin Luther King Day ((since just about all of us are black anyways)) and he asked "How did Martin Luther King influence you to do things now that you probably weren't able to do in the 1960's?" It was a rhetorical question, but I told my friend Laurie-chan that I am now able to date a white girlfriend.
And it's true.
I mean I know, people are all like "Oh yeah. Two girls. Cute. ((sarcastically))" And I'm all like "Yeah, whatever. Two girls. Get a life, shut up, move on." But there are some people that moved people like me to do things we weren't able to do back then. And that makes me happy I live in this time period. But it's about to take another spiral down, because although some people may not know it, it's an attempt to bring blacks down again.
In the meantime, I know it'll take awhile for gay rights and such, but isn't it a pleasure to date someone out your race... at least for those who are right now. My mum and her boyfriend got married over Winter Break, and Mike is white. It makes me so happy to see that people can really say "Love is love. No one said you had to date someone inside your race" or someone from another gender, that kind of stuff. And this is why I am treasuring the day of Martin Luthers' birthday. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have been able to meet my awesome friends at school, and I would have never met teh awesome Kitten-chan. Much love to ya. heart
I have yet to put up piccus from last year, like New Years and crap. Plus I am almost done with chapter 3 of Digimon Chaos. So there. Eureka 7 is coming on, however, and that's where I'm headed.... if my sister will give up the TV. Or I'll watch it the 2nd time it comes around. Either way, I'm not gonna miss it. And that's an intention.
