The Publisher Man who works in a company, A guy who helps with the press, A man... or woman, called 'The Publisher'. What does publish means? To place a certain item or article into copies. What are their main objective? They're suppose to publish everything that was given to them.. Now.. why am I talking about publishers? I'm not aiming myself to be one... I just.... dislike them.. I dislike publishers... They act as if they are of an important role... They're nothing without The Source. My first ever.. A mystery story and a love story, Was sent to my school's year book. That year book, which I calls it, 'The school magazine', Was suppose to fill it's empty pages with the stories I written. I thought of the titles of each story for so long... the contents.. the suspends.. the theme... And what do I get?.... Nothing... Like a grave, empty souls. Instead.. it's filled with useless.. good-for-nothing junk !! ...Hah ! ...What a waste of my time... I'll carry my story somewhere else then... The newspapers... good media for showing some of my artwork.. may even get some friends noticing.. How I wish .. my friends would see it and go "Hey ! I saw your picture in the newspaper yesterday." Yes... That would be nice.... Sent my first picture.. CGed it, thought it might bring some good qualities... Instead... it wasn't published... Instead... it's filled with ugly pictures... One of which is drawn by an 18 year-old, whose picture looked like it was drawn by a 5 year-old... Nevermind... it may be because the CGed picture is too much of a quality to even be published.. Sent my second picture... Drawn in pencil, nothing else. No inking, no color, no CG.. Waited with great patience and then... still... no results... None of the pictures there appealed to me... Are they ignoring me?... Are my pictures not good enough?... You tell me, are all my artworks... not good enough?...

Do you realise that they receive alot of pictures from alot of people everywhere? Not publishing your picture is not because it's ugly or they are purposely doing that to irritate you, but because they don't have time to look at all of the pictures that were sent to them. They would just randomly select pictures and if yours didn't get randomly selected, it's not their fault. Neither is it yours because the picture is ugly or something.

Imagine you are responsible of selecting afew pictures, and you receive thousands of pictures from people everywhere. You also have a deadline of a week or less. Of course you wouldn't have time to look at all of them, right? gonk All I can say is... be patient. The time for your picture to be in the newspapers will come soon. (if you still continue to send, that is.) Who knows, you may be lucky and your picture will be randomly selected.

Oh, and about the school magazine.. Yeah, okay. That one is alittle uncalled for. You spent so much time on it and they didn't publish it. But that is nothing to get all upset over it. Why would you say that the contents were instead "useless... good-for-nothing junk" ?? confused You have to think about this Maybe they find other stories or articles that were sent to them much more interesting than yours? When you said that you sent a "mystery story and a love story", I think it's not the one you wrote for the exams, right? confused Well, I told you before.. That story didn't really grab much of my attention. And well.... maybe it didn't grab other people's as well? Some may like it, some may not. I for one preferred the one you wrote for the exams. The "comedy-thriller" sort of story. Now that one grabbed my attention, and even the teacher's and other people.

Well, long advise short. Life is full of ups and downs. You may get into this sorta situation again when you go to work. So... be prepared. Don't get upset over small little things like this again. stare
