Well, despite the fact that it is near 11:17 on Thanksgiving evening and I have long left my journal unattended, I just experienced an experience, so odd and quaint that I thought I should document it's peculiarities while it was still fresh in my mind. You see, I had just finished watching a movie, and upon it's completion I decided to, before I should retire, briefly break my fast on a donut. Chocolate, devil food cake.
Well, I happened to casually glance out the window over the kitchen sink, and I noticed people standing outside in our street (we live in a cul-de-sac). "Interesting." I thought to myself, as it is likely near 40 degrees outside, and these people had two large dogs, and they seemed to be two boys, perhaps teenagers. One was wearing red shorts, which I deemed odd due to the chilly nature of the nighttime air.
Well, the one in red disappeared from my view for a few moments, also odd, and the other whipped out a camera phone and held it up. Mere moments later, the other boy came running, or waddling, as it were, with pants around his ankles and red bloxers flapping in the midnight breeze. Well, ok, not quite midnight breeze. He gracefully oscillated down the street, two (very large) black dogs in tow, them abruptly stopped, pulled down his boxers, and bent over.
Well, as you can imagine, it's one thing to be running around in boxers, but another thing entirely to go about mooning whilst being on camera (phone). Aside from that, I was suprised by my graceful acceptance of the fact, instead of following my impulse to throw open the door and yell something along the lines of, "Public Indecency Offense" or "crack kills". However, I simply watched in somewhat amazed amusement as the two young boys calmly walked towards the end of the street, turned, and entered the house of my neighbors. My neighbors who, happen to have a young boy.
Well, now it's really a matter of refraining from rude comments while I pass him on the street, or at the bus stop. "Where were you on the night of November 23rd, about 11:14 p.m.?" "Man, did you see that huge moon on thanksgiving? Practically lit up the street." I feel these remarks are somewhat outside my normal, dignified humor. However, for such a case, I may make exceptions. Refraining comments is one thing, laughing to myself whenever I see him from now on is another.
Well, to conclude this rather lengthy drabble, the meaning of life must have nothing to do with amusing home-made cell videos of pubescent boys larking about in the midnight breeze. For I sit here now, as I was before the entire incident, though thorougly amused.

You didn't yell at them?! Woaaaah!!!
I can't believe that happened, though. You should write a book, and include this entry in it! It could be a best seller! heart
