A DARK PLACE
sighing
i look down the long empty
ally.
i must walk through it
once again.
taking the first step
i feel the fear
and see the darkness
that enfolds my life.
the second step
i can feel the anger
it's suffocating me.
my next step are
more a stumble
than a walk.
i cant see.
theres something
on my face.
it's stickiness is
crawling into my eyes.
i scream in a silent
empty voice.
noone hears my shrieks
of terror.
my heart begins to bleed.
water is forced from my eyes.
broken hopes richochade off the
buildings on either side of me.
life knocks me to the ground
and my body feels with pain.
sunddenly, everything stops.
the pain, the fear, the darkness,
all are gone
i find that i've reached the
end of the ally.
sleep overtakes me
and i enter a
world of dreams.
my only escape.
where i am finally free
from the nightmares that
follow me everyday in life.
