Today, I pose a question:
What is the first thought that pops into your head upon seeing someone of Middle Eastern decent?
Be honest here folks.
Do you think you have been affected by the constant negative images of them in our daily media?
Do you think any less of them then you do white people?
Do you realize that this is how they wiped out most of the Native Americans?
By engraining into you a negative stereotype, much like they did to the colonial people of the 1800's, you have been trained not neccesarily to hate, but to have much apprehension towards them. Our own government is repeating itself.
They told us to think of the Native Americans as savages, scoundrels, and thieves. Now we are told to look upon Muslims in a similar light.
Yes, I know you enlightened people have already heard this, or thought this, but I'm merely allowing others to see.
