Well, much has changed... I'm taking a semester off school (yeay!... hopefully...) in order to get my s**t straight...
Anywho, back to the point.
I almost got into a fight last night... Its been a while since I've done that, so it was a little bit odd.
Dave and Maggie rented a limo (the stretch, truck looking kind, too) for New Year's eve, since no one really felt like driving. So we were driving around, you know, just having fun (and Zoe wasn't there, so it was extra enjoyable). We were all pretty drunk...
Anywho, I called Lacie and Rebel, to tell them about the limo and stuff (it was exciting!) and asked if they wanted to ride around. Of course, Lacie and her little friend jumped all over it. So, we went and picked them up, and drove around a neighborhood or two, just letting them have fun. Lol, they made us go by their friend's house like 4 or 5 times, and their poor friends were totally jealous.
About that time, we got a phone call from Rebel saying that Mattie's(Lacie's little friend) father had come looking for her. So Mattie started freaking out, saying that she was going to get in so much trouble, etc. I just thought that she was being an irritating 12 year old drama queen and told her no he wouldn't.
We get back to their neighborhood, and at the intersection before their street, James, Kara, and Chase are waiting for us, and we stop. Mattie's putting on her shoes when I see this huge guy (like literally 300+ pounds of body builder, over 6 feet) running towards us with a belt. James and chase stop him, and our driver gets out to try to calm the guy down. The ******** tries to hit our driver, calling him a "damn ******" etc. So I tell Mattie to stay in the car, and I get out. That guy sees me and starts demanding what right I have to kidnap his daughter, etc, waving the belt at me.
I tell him "Sir, it was only a drive, no reason to get upset. She's perfectly ok."
He tells me "Where is the little b***h? I'm gonna kill her! I'm gonna wear her little a** out"
Me: "Sir, I don't know you, and I don't know your daughter, but I doubt she's done anything to deserve a beating."
On and on it goes, with the a*****e threatening to kill us, he knows where we live (according to him...) that he's going to beat us, he's gonna kill any kid who tries to go near his daughter, etc.
Mattie suddenly runs out of the car for her house and james and chase have to hold him so that he doesn't run after her. Dave Jake and Eric get out of the car at this point to stop him from hitting james and chase, Kara is sobbing in between them, trying to get them to stop, Lacie is in the limo crying because she thinks the a*****e is really going to kill her.
Now, Jake and Eric had to deal with their dads beating on female relatives most of their lives (and Erica, who was in the limo and eric's sister, got the s**t beat out of her on a daily basis, so she's having melt-down, wanting to go get mattie and take her to her house untill things settle down) so they're just totally furious, wanting to kill the guy. I'm trying to tell the guy there's nothing to be upset about, etc... It was a total mess.
Then I see a someone coming down from Mattie's house, and it's her brother (who is Lacie's age, around 13 or so) and he's screaming at his dad that he'll kill him if he touches his sister, and he has a baseball bat, so Jake goes to intercept him and eric and chase have the dad because now he wants to beat the crap out of his son, and people are running from down the street from Rebel's house and people are coming from Mattie's house and the converge and the people from Mattie's house are furious with us for kidnapping mattie (who we thought was spending the night with Lacie, btw) and the people from Rebel's are furious that this huge ******** a*****e is trying to beat the s**t out of his kids. I'm still trying to calm everyone down, so is Kara, James, chase, dave, and jake are still furious, trying to hold everyone back, everyone in the limo is having melt down.
Then I see rebel trying to calm the guy down and he raises his belt as if to hit her, James (her hubbie) freaks out, tries to tackle the guy, but is grabbed by mr. Sam (rebel's step-dad) I freak out and run at him but Eric grabs me, Mattie's brother is screaming that he'll kill his dad and jake has him....
It was a total mess.... Eventually they went home in search of mattie and we shortly thereafter dispersed. We in the limo fumed for a little while (me and mag trying to convince everyone else not to go pay a visit to the man...)after a while we settled down, though, and we had fun in New Orleans.
BTW, I'm very much against anyone hitting children. All it teaches them is that violence is an answer to something.
