Prologue

The weather was frigid and cold. It had just started to snow once again today.
Outside Jonatis Senior High, waves of students crowded the outside area chatting amongst each other of what just happened. The odd couple here and there greeted each other with a passionate hug out of worry and relief. Aside from the students talking, the wail of the Ambulance vans carrying away the dead and the wounded. It droned on towards the hospitals. The diesel engines of the swat cars revving up and leaving the area were also heard.

A few feet into the woods next to the school lay Noah, in a pool of his own blood. Bullets had claimed his life. A few feet away sitting on a stump was his friend John. His rare green eyes in wonder trying to make up weather this were all just a dream or did it really happen?

Not to far ahead stood another friend of Noah. Leon he was in a trance pondering if there could have been another way for this to have ended. Sitting on her knees next to Noah drenched in his blood grieving was his childhood friend and girlfriend Amy.

Behind them lay a few dead bodies of police that Noah ripped to shreds before the full moon that could be still seen this mourning fully vanished.

The news media was blockaded away from the scene. Reporters frolicked to and fro asking anyone if they knew what the hell had happened here at the school. Why students and police officers alike were killed or viciously wounded.

The snow had started to gently fall more and more as the aftermath was slowly dying down. John got up and shook Leon?s shoulder to snap him out of it.

"Come on lets get Amy out of here" John softly requested to him
"We shouldn't grieve in sorrow for Noah. We all know what his last words were and the smile on his face indicated,he was happy to have it all ended"

Leon nodded in agreement then replied
"But still there could have been another way out of it" Leon choked out.

"Like what?" John responded, his green eyes showing frustration and logic. "Cage him up like an animal?"

"I'm not that stupid John you know that" he replied in a cold tone. His voice softened when he heard Amy still crying, her hands buried in her face.
"Let's just bring her home we've all been through a lot."

John silently nodded as they both turned to walk towards Amy. They both helped her up to her feet, and told her there going to bring her home.
Leon couldn't help but notice the expression on Noah's face, it was one of a peaceful resolve and happiness.

They were silent the whole time in Leon's truck, the only sound was the constant purr of the truck, which was lulling and constant.

When they neared Amy's house she spoke to them "I don't want to go home just yet...we should go to Noah's house and let his parents know what happened...all of it" her voice unwavering as she stared outside at the snow capped trees.

John and Leon silently nodded in agreement. They drove past Amy's house and took a left turn towards Noah's
house instead. They were silent as ever until they got out of Leons truck and walked up to Noah's front door.

"Come in" was the reply of Noah's parents, they seemed painfully oblivious to what had just happened.

"So why are you three here at this time isn't there school?" Noah's mother asked while poring herself a cup of coffee.

"Mrs.Caslyn..Noah is dead" Leon silently announced, and right at that moment Mrs.Caslyn almost dropped the coffee pot.

"What?" was her sudden reply with a look of grief and dread in her eyes.

"Noah's dead" John responded almost as quietly as Leon.

"What happened?" Mr.Caslyn responded as he came into the living room upon hearing the news, with a hint of a troubled and concerned tone in his voice.

"Well..." Leon started then Amy interrupted with a tone that was trying not to cry.
"He got shot by the cops, plus the s.w.a.t. team"

"What for?" Mr.Caslyn raised his voice so he could be heard over Mrs.Caslyn's sudden crying.

"That's why we came here.." Leon started calmly " It's going to sound insane but just hear us out" Leon continued with a tone of sudden calmness etched in his voice.
"Noah was shot because", Leon paused with a breath and a look on his face of hopes they would believe it "He was a werewolf."

"Is this some kind of ******** sick joke?" Mr.Caslyn roared in disbelief and anger.
His face was getting slightly more, and more redder, his veins in his neck starting to slowly etch their way outwards.

"Were not bull shiting you." John responded sounding rather pissed off if anything.
"He was a werewolf he ******** morphed into one whenever the moon was visible and ******** maimed people. We even watched him turn back into one many times."

"And how am I supposed to believe you?" Mr.Caslyn growled in a vaguely sarcastic tone. "If you three watched him turn into one then why didn't he kill you?" he ended in a snide tone.
All three of them revealed some sort of silver object. John revealed his silver studded bracelet. John had on a Silver ring, and Amy showed them her silver heart pendant and necklace.

Just before anyone could respond there was a sudden knock at the door. Mr.Caslyn left the room to go and answer it "this is a ******** crock" he mumbled out loud as he left the room to answer the door."Noah if thats you your in deep s**t this isn't funny."

Mr.Caslyn was proven wrong by upon opening the door to reveal two cops, the one on the left was short,slightly pudgey and was balding.The one on the right looked like your sterotypical hotshot rookie cop.He had a rather large scar protruding from the bottom of his left eye down to the side of his jaw.
