Didn't I mention something about changing your fate yesterday in the rp?

Ya... but that is how I really feel in the world sometime's you know, like thee is no escape or purpose...? I hate it... that feeling suck's! scream Sorry! I'll make my next one happy!

i think that fate is a lie people tell to thems selvs becaus they are too afarid to do stuff on their own. it's like saying, oh if it were ment to be it would have happned, when actualy it could have happned, you just decided to pass up the chance...
that's what i believe anyways, i believe in free will, and tha we can all choose what will happen, all we have to do is try

You know, I agree in full. The only issues I have with fate is the fact that I A) I'm not in control of my life B) Hell, I don't know what my fate is (Not a good thing to fall into) and C) Because its so cruel and evil.

Part of me believes in it, other parts don't. Its rather odd....

I'd like to say something else about fate...

I don't tell a lot of people about this but I am a very spiritual human being. Though I believe we choose what happens to us whether we're aware of it or not, I can't help there are other forces at work. You say that you feel fate continues to catch up with you, but really, I think it's something else. Have you ever heard of Karma and past lives? Both are definitiely worth looking into...

Karma:
This is a theory based on Bhuddist teachings. Many of us will know it as 'What goes around comes around.' Since Bhuddists do not believe in a god (the Bhudda is a prophet) they believe that a universal force monitors our actions. If we do something from the good of our hearts, karma recognises this and rewards us with something equal to our actions, and the same happens when we do something bad. However, karma isn't always instant, but it will always come round. Sometimes it feels cruel, but take comfort in knowing that this is just a force and not a judgemental superbeing like God. (sorry if that sounded controversial but I am an agnostic with no belief in Christianity.)

Past Lives:
This theory falls in quite nicely with karma. It is believed that when we are born, we have set lessons from the previous life that we must learn in this one. This is a continuous phase-what we don't learn in this life becomes the lessons for the life after yours. I think this so-called 'fate' is trying to teach you one of your lessons, but it's up to you to find out what that lesson is. I think you have to try and let karma guide you in the right direction. I myself have issues with my past life, as with everyone. It means that you may have made wrong desicions in your past life and caused a lot of negative karma because you never learned from your mistakes.

Hmmmmm.. well if you beleive in past live's think into this. Though I don't really beleive in god that much,(No offense to you guy's).

In the bible, it say's that everyone will live twice, to come back to earth reincarnated so to speak, so you do have a past life. But hwat if you kept the memories and the teaching's you had form your past life, you could be a geunniues and know lifes secret. If those memories were kept looked awya into everyone's mind's and we lost them, only getting small glimpses into our control of it in our dreams? Being able to undertsand the mysteries thta we have so longed for...? Creepy eh?

Interesting viewpoint. But I don't really think there is a secret to life. I like to believe that life is what you make it. It has long haunted me that other people may not see the same things we see, even physically, and we all experience the world in different ways. If you believe that there is a secret to life-then there is. However I believe that we have our own ideas on what life is; so that exists too.
