All right so...I'm a guy, but I have long hair. I enjoy my long hair and think that I look better with it long than I do when I used to have quite short hair. Well at work I keep my hair up in a pony tail so that it looks a bit more professional than if it's just loose like I normally wear. The thing is...Why do people stereotype long hair as a female characteristic?
Honestly people...Men have had long hair since prehistoric days. Modern men today have long hair in many cases and they are probably stereotyped like this as well. It irks me to no end that stupid people behind me see me squatting down and the first thing they notice is long hair. OF COURSE! Long hair Must mean a woman despite the thousands and thousands of men in the population who have longer hair...
I'm getting to the point where, despite my fondness for having longer than shoulder length hair, I may end up getting it all cut down to something short and professional.
...Which means no Terry Bogard cosplay at MegaCon this year.
