Alright, so I know this is pretty off-topic and almost out of the blue compared to almost all of my other entries, but I noticed a headline in the paper and it's been bothering me a bit.
Homosexuality. Yes, it exists. Yes I am occasionally frightened of the lesbians and bisexuals I meet. This doesn't mean I hate everything about them and am against their choices.
The headline in the paper I had noticed while leaving a store had mentioned that, once again, more steps were being taken to ban same-sex marriage.
One thing I would like to point out about that. Get. Over. It.
Homosexuality has been around for centuries and guess what? This is definitely the century of the homos, ok? For something that has always existed and been fairly well hidden from our history books, it's going to have it's day, dammit, and trying to lock it up is just going to make it worse in the end.
Have none of our government officials learned from our past?
Anyone know of the alcohol ban? No. Didn't work. The people kept drinking and many even began brewing in their own houses (which can be dangerous when the contents are under the wrong level of pressure during the process). That was also the same time when crime had evolved into a lucrative business. God Father? Yes, those were the times these wonderful classics began.
Now, assuming that homosexuality will not take such drastic paths like the alchohol had, let's try and think about this logically. Is banning same-sex marriage really going to benefit the United States? At all? Think about it, now, I know this is a difficult question for many of the state officials.
Nothing?
Didn't think so.
Bottom line, it's pointless. The only people with a problem are the super religious d**k-weeds.
