I just saw a post about someone lacking confidence in being beautiful and all the responses felt lackluster with suggestions of wearing clothes and makeup differently, or just an empty "you're beautiful as you are".
How I see real beauty, its not something naturally given at birth or able to be made with appearance alone. At least not long lasting beauty. It comes from self confidence and self perspective, which opens far more options once someone earns more of it.
Self confidence comes from building a optimistic mentality, yet not to the point of ignorance to reality. Being able to acknowledge faults in full honesty, and then approaching it with a positive solution, that's what optimism is and where self confidence can begin. The mind is actually able to be molded and adjusted, its just a matter of active effort and dedication to achieving a positive, desired goal.
I think in order to improve on confidence, you have to treat yourself like you would a close friend. Being truthful to the issues, and giving positive advice towards a better outcome. Catching a bad behavior and telling yourself "i can do X Y Z" or "this person has X, I can work hard to have X for myself as well", it turns the struggle into a goal and is then achievable with effort.
As well as, understand it take time to keep it how you want it, there will always be accidents but its a matter if you get back on the horse or not. The brain is really just a sponge, whatever you let it soak up is what it will retain. So think about what you want to soak up in that sponge.
