Finally I feel like I can take a breather. For the past day and a half, every time I thought I fixed most of the bugs, another glaring bug shows up and slaps me in the face!
As I dig through more code, I found things in the caching system that need adjustment with the stacking scheme, as well as some weird bug that prevent results from caching most of the time. Hopefully some of these fixes will mean better performance down the road. I've heard that the servers used to get really slow during big CI releases. My goal is to make everything work smoothly once again. (ponders about the old days when every page load takes 20 seconds, and Gaia ran on 2 servers)
Also did some fun things like adding level of kins in inventory, fixing BBCODE for youtube links, and allow owners of favorites to delete them.
I felt like the time it took to work on Inventory Arranger could have been spent fixing 20 small bugs. Though as this is the biggest pain point for Gaians, it's definitely time well spent.
I'm not out of the furnace just yet, still have to fix the touchscreen laptops with inventory bug. gonk
Update:
So the touchscreen laptop bug where people thought you would either use a touchscreen, or a mouse, but not both at the same time! That's how the Javascript library was built years ago. My first attempt in applying a patch to the library didn't work, so now I've uploaded a whole new version of the library. Will try out the code once I get to the office at 11 (about 4 hours).
Just started using Amazon Now for grocery delivery. It's pretty awesome for I can get an extra half hour for not having to shop for groceries! Not to mention that 2 days ago my car got rear ended while driving to the supermarket. gonk Small fender bender, but it' still gonna take up time to resolve.
