Salutations.
Some of you may know me by a number of other names - West, Lord of the Westernlands, Z, Zan, Zansa, Zansatsu, and Karma to name a few - but after a lot of thought and the lack of activity from the people here on Gaia I've called friends over the years I've decided to put this account to new use as the satirical pale rider now known as Grumpy Death.
Understand that it's not going to be all gallows humor and snarky commentary. I intend to at least occasionally provide something insightful and provocative but for the most part it would be ill-advised to take me too seriously.
If I offend then please stop and think before responding to anything you read from me because odds are you're taking it too seriously or you just need to lighten up in general. This goes especially for social justice warriors. The worst thing ever done to a cause is the hypocritical defense of it by its supporters. (Ex: If you're male and identify as female then don't expect people to automatically know this if they've never met you before or you don't have some kind of obvious sign where they can see - putting it in a profile doesn't count because not everyone reads those. Don't immediately get offended if the wrong pronoun is used and go "Die CIS scum! Stop marginalizing me! Respect my pronouns!" Most people are happy to correct themselves if calmly told "I identify as ____. Please try and use _____ to describe me." Simple. Want respect then give respect. Also, people don't always agree but they can at least be civil about the whole mess. Just try. Thank you.)
That's pretty much it. Now I've got an appointment to get to so see you three weeks.
