I didn't realized how much you miss something until you actually do it again. Yesterday was a better day for because I had the privilege to go and help my high school band at their first competition. Yes it was weird to be on the sidelines and not there marching along side my fellow band members, but they march their hearts out. Its funny because while on the sideline when they were practicing marching I couldn't help notice that I was marching in time with them all. My entire high school year the best part of all of it was the two years I spent with the band, they didn't judge me they accepted me as one of their own. We were all a big family in there, and man do I miss my family. I miss all the practices we had because we always seemed to have fun before and during them. I miss all my equipment, well except for rifle, I had problems with rifles but I damn near perfected flag and sabre in two years. The funny thing is all the spirit seems to have gone away since last years seniors had graduated. We were sitting in the stands and the other bands were cheering and our band was dead silent. Three graduated seniors and a few juniors by our side stood up and started up a few cheers. Everyone stared at us as we did, Hey Panthers how do YOU feel? We feel GOOD, Oh(thrusts) WE FEELS SO GOOD oh(thrust) GOOD GOOD GOOD LIKE A PANTHER SHOULD, DOUBLE OH(trust) OH(trust). It felt so good to be able to shout that cheer again. I'm surprised that I still know all the cheers from high school. But all of us went to where our band was siting and at the top of our lungs the entire joined us in, 1 we are the Panthers 2 we still can't hear you, 3 a little bit louder, we are number 1! I forgot how much fun competitions are, and I wish I could go back and do it all again. From all the amazing people I met and all the fun we had, I miss it all. I made a promise to myself that once I get a job and have saved enough for college I'm going to go and try out for band, well color guard but we are still part of band
