A collection of many things: vents, poems, and drawings, among many other things.
Lit test #1
Many things in life are cause and effect; one person does something and it has the potential to mess everything around them up. This rule applies to every living thing, from a small child to an elder, none are saved. So those in positions of great power make it their job to stop the everyday chaos that could create something more if it was left wild, because if that were to happen much of everything would probably cease to function in its normal way. Such examples are shown when riots happen. Sometimes they happen for no reason at all; just a slip in command can create them. Sometimes they are protests, uprisings, or even just a distraction. Either way, riots are trouble, and the only thing you can count on when they happen is the mass hysteria and damage they bring. Shops and home are destroyed; people are trampled or thrown to the ground. The most troubling thing, however, about riots, is that they are nearly impossible to control without violence or some kind of assertion of authority. For some this is hard; it’s not every day that you have to go up against your own people in order to stop something, and even some times this’ll force you to have to fight against the people that smile at you kindly as you walk down the street. This is the hardest, and most times, not even death deserts things such as riots. Death is permanent; death can happen anywhere.

The day was a cool one; it seemed nice enough when she had woken up that morning. It wasn’t hot at all even though the sky was clear, and she loved days like this; it made for a nice day to walk around. The village had been in a nice state of peace for a long time, there wasn’t much that she had to attend to, even as a jounin. So she spent her days doing small missions here and there, and then going off to do a hobby or train. She had to say it was sort of boring but she was enjoying the quietness of it; it almost seemed as if some sort of light, cool sheet had set itself over the village. The jounin wrapped her jacket closer around her body as her breath puffed out lightly in front of her, then set of forward through the town to get her daily mission. She was sure by now the Kage was starting to run out of the higher ranked missions, as none were really coming in, at least in the rate they had been. She rubbed her hands lightly together and then blew in to them, her warm breath heating her hands.

Something caught her attention from the corner of her eye, and she blinked before turning her body to face it completely. There were two men, quite bulky and muscled men, who were yelling at each other. Clarissa frowned, and then started walking towards the men. From what she could hear, they were fighting because the two of them had ordered the same thing. What a silly thing to fight over. She walked over and touched one of the men’s’ shoulder, opening her mouth to speak to the taller man. Suddenly her vision went black, and when she came to, her face hurt and she had a clear view of the sky above her since she was on her back. It took her a second to realize that the man had punched her in the face, and it took her a bit longer to realize those two men who had been yelling at each other had started a fight. Clarissa stumbled up and held her head, groaning a bit, before frowning and rushing to the two men. But it was too late, the men had started a riot, and soon the whole street was a mass of chaos and noise.

Clarissa looked around in shock, how had a simple fight erupted in to this!? She ducked down to dodge a café chair coming her way before standing back up, making a noise of exasperation. What was wrong with these people?! It seemed like they had all been possessed by some kind of crazy spirit! She quickly racked her brain, trying to figure out just how she would stop the riot. She wasn’t a very scary person herself; she couldn’t scare these people in to calming down. She bit her lip and cursed mentally inside her head, and then flinched as the sound of breaking glass met her ears. She rushed in to the middle of the huge group of rioters that had collected themselves in the middle of the street and tried whistling. This, of course, did not faze the angry people at all. She swore lightly, then took a deep breath, gathering as much air as she could, and then yelled. “HEY!!!!” The people in the street stopped and looked at her, seeming suddenly confused as to why this strange person was stopping their destruction.

She let out a small sigh of relief; the sudden noise seemed to have brought them to, which meant she could talk to them now. Maybe she could get them to calm down and go back to what they had been doing before this had all started. Her shoulders relaxed from the tense state they had been in and she rubbed her face lightly before beginning to speak. “Enough already!! What the heck do you think you’re doing, destroying the village like this?! We are in a time of peace; do you really want to be the people to break that?! What the heck are you even fighting about? Think about that for a second, can you even remember why you started this mass of drama in the first place?! I bet you can’t! Settle down and go home, before this gets out of hand.” The people looked at each other before dropping what they had been holding before and going back to their normal lives. However, when the crowd broke apart, there was a body lying in the street.

This confused Clarissa, why was someone just lying in the street like that? Then the glass shattered as she took all of the body in to sight. It was lying at an awkward angle, some of the arms and legs placed in positions that seemed so unnatural that she wondered how they had gotten there. She slowly walked over to the body and her heart stopped when she realized just who and what it was. It was a small child, an academy student, one she had seen before. She covered her mouth with her hand as tears welled in her eyes. Who could do something like this? She slowly picked up the twisted body of the child before rushing off to the hospital, maybe he could still be saved…
