drabble one -
"Well aren't you going to do something?" the new girl looked absolutely horrified and we didn't blame her, haunted houses weren't everyone's cup of tea.
"Like what?"
"Like, I don't know...cleanse it or something..."
"Me?" Sora laughed, "Honey, do you know how much energy it takes to cleanse a house this big?"
"I..guess a lot, but...you're a witch aren't you?"
"Yeah, and I didn't say I couldn't do it. Hell, Mimi can too if she wanted to." she gestured at Mimi who glared back, and then turned back to the new girl ", but cleansing takes s**t. It takes bowls, candles, spells, and ******** of other crap. Energy too."
"So then..."
"Why go wasting our energy, when we have the walking lightbulb?" She nodded in my direction, and I smirked.
"Thank Sora, real creative there. Never been called that one before."
"Just doing my job Kitty, now why don't you go do yours before one of us ends up married to a ghost again."
The girl looked totally lost, but I gave her shoulder a reassuring pat as I walked by. "Don't worry you're pretty face darling, the wedding was consensual. Sora totally wanted the D."
I had to bounce up the steps to avoid a water ball aimed at my head, but it was worth it. On the porch I turned my head around to stick my tongue out at her, before settling down to focus on the house. Putting my hands against one of the walls I focused on my light.
"Purify." I whispered, a glow slithered down my arms and kept spreading out from my fingertips. It went fast, and in moments the whole house was glowing, changing. A collective sigh shuttered through the area, the dark magic clogging the air shivering out of existence.
The air was fresh and clean, the house looked alive again, and the shifting of spirits that couldn't rest was long gone.
"See how easy that was? If I'd had to use a spell we would have been here for ******** hours, and I'm not about to miss having McDonalds for lunch just cause some dead people don't know how to let go."
drabble two -
that time the elements saved their masters (sora)
She was bleeding all over the place, and something about the bullets she'd been shot with was keeping her from healing. She was feeling lightheaded, and actually afraid for once, which was something she wasn't even remotely used to. Being a powerful witch, being the element of water, being a lot of ******** things all at once. It kind of made getting a scared a little pointless.
Yet there she was, running for her life, and utterly terrified.
She couldn't even call what she was doing running. She stumbled through trees and bushes, she could hear the men crashing through the forest behind her. If only this wasn't the mortal world. If only this was their Forest, she'd be safe. They'd never get to her if she was back home.
Eventually, as was always the case, she ran out of ground. A large lake stretched out in front of her, the water a dirty green color, but welcoming all the same.
Someone yelled b***h, somewhere behind her, and she didn't hesitate before jumping in.
She was injured, so weak she wasn't even sure she could swim. To her surprise, the water welcomed her though, embracing her body like a refreshing blanket. She could feel the soft push and pull of the water grow stronger, dragging her further away from the bank like she was swimming, even though she wasn't doing much of anything.
She felt to weak to try and control it, so she let it take over, flinching only as she heard the sound of gunshots echoing through the empty forest.
The men were standing at the shore, aiming at her. Only the bullets never made contact. Patches of water turned to thick ice as soon as the bullets touched it, catching them before they could hurt her.
Sora had never felt so relieved in her entire life. Closing her eyes, she curled into herself and the water pulled her out and under.
For once, she wasn't even scared of the dark.
