just watch me.
There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
What do workers gain from their toil? I have seen the burden God has laid on the human race. He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil—this is the gift of God.

funeral was good. :] the sound system in that church is phenomenal. and the message was super powerful, and something Troy would've agreed with. Afterwards all of us just hung back and cried and sang to the song playing over the system that all of us knew (as we've all sang it for OC). I want to live like he did, have the faith that he did. He always said that his situation was a win-win: either the transplant would be successful, or he's be able to go to his Father in Heaven.

but i never do like funerals much. Trying to sum up a person's entire life in a few paragraphs on the back of a bulletin just never jives with me; it's impossible to really describe who they were, what they did, and how sorely they'll be missed in those few blunt words.

overall, coming home has been good. I had the honor of being able to give just a tiny little something back to the Stulen's, in celebration of Troy's life. I got to talk with people I haven't for a long time, and I'll be coming back to school with lots of food I didn't have to pay for. :]

bonfire tonight with some peeps at Becca's house.

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord, praise the Lord.
