I did an OC, which is something I do not generally do, and long story short, he refused to pay for this little chibi. I did make one mistake on the eye-sash, though I offered a discount for that. He complained not only about that but that the arm bands were not the same length, even though he did not say otherwise and his reference was of Kouga, a wolf demon from the anime Inuyasha. I drew exactly what he asked for, with only the exception of the small eye-sash error. =w= Unfortunately, it seems the discount wasn't enough. He seemed to be under the impression I'd redo it AND give a discount to 5k less than the agreed amount for essentially two pieces of art. In other words, it twas but a scam.
The chibi itself did give me practice with fur, as well as metals, and going with someone's thought up character without using an avatar reference.
However, after that experience, I do believe I am turned off to doing OCs at least for now.
