just watch me.
spring break is over half done. and i have yet to sleep in, or have a lazy day, damnit.

applied at a radio station (i job shadowed there a year ago, and they still remembered my name... EPIC!!), going to apply at a few hotels these next few days.

front desk would be a fun job ^^

i may have found something that makes me alive; i feel like i'm on fire and actually doing something I enjoy when I do it...

event planning.

travel planning.

HOT DAMN, IT'S FREAKING FUN!! whee

now if only my audience was as willing to go on these trips as I am... *le sigh*

......... I need new best friends that live close by. T.T

and while I'm being negative, *%@&^* that Kony s**t. IT'S ONLY BEEN GOING ON ALL AROUND THE GLOBE FOR WHO KNOWS HOW LONG, do you seriously think this is the first thing like this? the worst? hell no. worse s**t is going on every day, all around us.

OPEN YOUR EYES, PEOPLE. YOU SHOULDN'T NEED GODDAMN FACEBOOK TO MAKE YOU AWARE OF s**t LIKE THIS.

so no, I don't really give a s**t about it. am I a bad person because of it? some would argue yes.

but really, as I said earlier, open your eyes.

back on a more normal track now (if that's even possible lawl), there are a number of things to talk about.

a minor one being that THERE ARE ASIAN BEETLES IN MN. T.T so not only does my entire room reek of them, but they get stuck under my new computer's keyboard...

the next would be a choice of what to do... or in this case, what not to do. church is going to haiti again next february, I still don't want to go with. I know with the attitude I have right now, I will not enjoy it, so what's the point in going? looking back, my experience in mexico was really quite magical, with a lot of pretty gems in it, but i was not where I am today, and there were bits of it that, quite frankly, really super sucked.

like ripping my only pair of (new) contacts thee very first day, rendering me wearing glasses the entire time, getting my period the one day we actually went to the beach, then getting a sunburn so bad I slept on a tile floor to ease the pain, getting hit on by some mexis while being disrespected by others, not ever having good drinking water, going the entire tour with the wrong tour guide (which screwed everything else up), not being very good friends with any of the girls from my school, having to group with a bunch of rambunctious and disrespectful black new yorkers, our ride to the airport on leaving day not ever showing up, my camera dying not even halfway through the trip...

take your pick.

i won't talk about the good stuff, because that would be analyzing it and minimizing it to mere words; I'd rather not do that, so I can better treasure those bits ^^

so yeah.

my fault, everyone else's fault, etc, etc. it would've been an awesome experience had i the sense to pack more contacts, knew how to operate a tampon, we actually had the right tour guide, didn't have to be grouped with the new yorkers, and everyone else spoke english and respected us.

from that super bad sunburn (in March 2010, I believe), it freckled. to this very day, you can see where I had my swimsuit on, because there are two blank, pale lines amidst the freckles on my shoulders where the straps were.

so I think I'll stick with college missions trips, thank you very much. and other trips to only European, English-speaking countries where the culture shock and everything else is less likely to take me by surprise. xD

close-minded? you better believe it. that may change, someday, but for now I'm good with it.

I tried being open-minded, and it failed miserably. circumstances and my own stupid mistakes made it less of a dream than I wanted it to be....

blurrrrgh.

hoping to legitly sleep in tomorrow, without a single text or phone call or alarm to wake me up. stare

then going to town to get job apps, creep at the mall for a comm assignment, get a new pair of jeans, and pick up mom from work.

friday will be homework day, saturday chill day, sunday church, monday head back.

gonk
