Fragmented Self who wanders through life like a dreamer and wades through the river of dreams as though it were the only truth left in this world
You're What I Never Want To Be
There's a hole in my stomach,
it grows louder the longer I wait.
The swooping, sucking and growling disgusts me.
I can't believe you exist.
You're like the parasite inside of me,
haphazardly eating my mind away.
I wish you'd just go away already.

stare straight ahead -
forget the world.

let your vision haze over,
the clouds of self destruction
rocking you to sleep,
until your dreams
become ambivalence.

Fantasy situations
that create imaginary solutions
but when you awake
they will become dust,
no more than stars in the sky-
untouchable,
unreachable.
Only available to the sleeping babe.

And we envy that babe-
sleeping so soundly,
without a care or worry.
We take the pills to mimic their state,
numbing and shutting out the world.
But claw at the skies,
our pathway blocked.
We can never again touch a star.

We have fallen.

Blow Them All Away
At times,
everyday actions turn against me.
They project
gaping mouths and clawing hands.
I glance back
and know it is an illusion.
But sometimes,
I wonder...
what if,
all along it was the reverse?
And then,
I'm not so sure anymore.
