I hear church bells in the distance
as I walk by one Sunday morning.
It's snowing.
I look even farther into the distance,
and I start to think to myself for a bit.
I continue to walk through town.
Morning turns into noon.
Noon turns into night.
It's still snowing.
I look up into the sky
and see more stars
than I have ever seen in my life.
I could not take my eyes away.
I was sure they were not
deceiving me
yet no one else could see them.
Today I stand up for what's right,
even when I am standing alone
on that snowy Sunday night sky
looking up at those stars.
Maybe if one was in my shoes
one would see them, too.
as I walk by one Sunday morning.
It's snowing.
I look even farther into the distance,
and I start to think to myself for a bit.
I continue to walk through town.
Morning turns into noon.
Noon turns into night.
It's still snowing.
I look up into the sky
and see more stars
than I have ever seen in my life.
I could not take my eyes away.
I was sure they were not
deceiving me
yet no one else could see them.
Today I stand up for what's right,
even when I am standing alone
on that snowy Sunday night sky
looking up at those stars.
Maybe if one was in my shoes
one would see them, too.
