How things began
My father always said that there is a thin line between genius and crazy, got it memorized. Well with out the ‘got it memorized’ bit. The whole family knew that him and his friend were dancing on the line. But I think that the day he truly crossed the line and started working harder on his project was the day whole family’s life went to hell in a hand basket. Dad threw himself into his work, became obsessed with it. My older brothers tried to fill the hole left by that day but it just wasn’t the same, got it memorized. But things happen for a reason right?

“Come on Dad, Momma is waiting for us!!!!” a young boy yells happily pulling on his fathers hand. They were standing in front of a store selling Robotic Companions. His fathers silver hair shined in the sunlight as he stared contentedly at the horrendous machines.
“One day I’ll make the Companions so realistic that you won’t be able to tell them apart from humans.” he whispers. The red haired boy smiles happily at his father but refuses to look at the robots for they scare him.
“Lea!!!!! Guess what!!!?” a young boy squeaks as he tackles Lea to the ground.
“I’ma gonna get adopted!!!!!!! They founds a family who wants me!!!!! I’ma gonna have a family!!!!” the boy shouts loudly. Lea’s father looks down at his son, smiling as the younger male hugs Lea to death.
“Come on boys quite playing around, lets go.”
The boys jump up and race off. Shaking his head the silver haired male slowly follows the two boys. Suddenly there is the sound of squealing tires followed by a cry of:
“Lumaria!!!!!!!!!”
He runs to the road and nearly dies of fright. There in the road is Lea and Lumaria. Lea is holding Lumaria in his arms tears streaming down his face.
“Daddy make him wake up, he won’t wake up Daddy!” Lea cries cradling the 6 year old in his lap. He rushes to his son’s side and places his fingers on Lumaria’s neck, hoping for a pulse.
“Son I’m….I’m sorry.”
“No he has to be ok. He’s going get adopted.”
The driver of the car that hit Lumaria gets out..
“Oh my god…. I’m sorry I didn’t see them. But its ok since it’s only the orphan that got hurt right?”
Golden eyes stare at the man in shock.
“How in the hell is Lumaria being the only one hurt a good thing, you sick bast*rd!?” he asks.
“Dude calm down, he’s just an orphan.”
“So if you would have hit my son you would feel sorry!!!!?”
By now people started gathering around them and the police had arrived.
“Well yeah…..I mean who cares about the little rats that suck money out of our pockets?”
The crowd gasps as Lea’s father hit’s the male in the face. The ground shakes and a loud explosion fills the air.
“Oh my god that came from the orphanage!!!” a woman screams.
The man is torn between staying with his son and running to the orphanage where his wife and rest of his family is. He turns to the paramedic is taking care of Lea.
“Excuse me Miss my wife works at the orphanage will you please watch my son while I go check on her please?” He asks desperation seeping into his voice. The medic nods her head and he heads toward the source of the explosion. The orphanage is on fire and children are screaming.
“Braig!!! Dilan!!! Even!!! Aeleus!!! Ienzo!!! Maria!!! Where are you?”
That’s when he see his to oldest sons holding two blonde children. In his head he has a check list.

As he searched he checked off his kids. Even was holding a young boy with a mullet, Aeleus is cradling an infant.

‘Where is Ienzo?’
“Ienzo where are you!!? Maria honey where are you?”
“Daddy? Daddy is that you?” the small voice of his youngest comes from underneath a male with blue hair.
“Ienzo?” he yells rushing over to the bluenette, as he draws closer he sees a piece of shrapnel sticking out of the back of his head.
“Daddy is Isa okay? He told me to duck then he hugged me as something went Boom. So is Isa okay?” Ienzo asks shakily.
“Yeah son he is…Just close your eyes kay?”
Ienzo grunts an okay and his father removes him from the arms of his dead friend.
“Just keep your eyes closed. Maria!!!!! Where are you!!!!?”
Clutching the shivering child to his chest he searched long and hard for his wife.
“Excuse me sir….I think we have found your wife.” a police officer announces leading the shaken male to an ambulance.

August 27, that day 357 children and 20 adults died. Maria Heart was one of the 20 adults to die. A group of cruel people who thought orphans were lower then dirt bombed six different orphanages. The man who hit Lumaria was the ring leader of the attack, if he hadn’t hit him he would have gotten away with everything and bombed more orphanages. After that day Lea’s father threw himself into the Companion trade barely surfacing to deal with his children.

Ten years later….
A large house sits atop a hill in a little town far away from the bustling cities. The house holds six brothers who intrigue the citizens of the small town.
“Xigbar, Lexaeus stole my lighter!!!!” screams red haired man.
Lexaeus, a tall brunette male, stares at his brother.
“Axel I did not steal anything of yours. Vexen said something about borrowing it remember.” He explains softly as Xigbar pinches the bridge of his nose. A male with dread locks comes in holding a corsage.
“Zexion, your date is here!” he calls. Coming down the stairs is a male with slate colored hair. Behind him is a male with long blonde hair.
“Remind me again, Xaldin, why I’m going to this stupid dance again.”
“Because it’s Snowman, one of the important dances for Freshmen. The next dance we are going to force you to go to is Prom and that isn‘t until Junior or Senior year.”
“Joy…. Is Father here?”
His older brothers look down and shakes his head.
“Typical.” Zexion mutters as the phone goes off. Xigbar rushes off to answer it as Xaldin takes pictures of the dance going couple. Xigbar comes in and passes the phone to Zexion.
“Hey there sport, sorry I can’t be there but we just hit a major improvement in the Companions.” His fathers voice floats threw the phone.
“Its okay dad, really it is. Tell Ansem I said hi okay, I got to go.” Zexion forces a smile and cheery tone.
“Kay son, pass me to one of your brothers will ya?”
Zexion passes the phone to Axel and walks out the door with his date on his arm.

Five years later………….
“Yes we did it!!! We’ve done it Ansem!!” exclaims a silver haired male. His partner smiles.
“Yes Xemnas we’ve done it… Time to go home to your sons, they miss you.” The two men embrace before Xemnas heads to the exit.
“Don’t forget the boys’ presents!!!” Ansem calls after his friend.
