To the Reader: This is my first ever posting within my Gaia Journal. I will tell you a little about myself first, I am a lover and a fighter, I am a very pationate person, I fight for my beliefs and I am currently questioning the idea behind the subject of "love". Love to me, used to be about falling head over heals for a person you don't know for very long, and placing your heart in the palm of their hands and living your life with them and always thinking about them and getting those butterflies everytime you're arount them. Now I see, that is only the idea behind love in fairy tales. Things don't happen that way in the real world, now I don't know how to describe love, I've had my heart ripped out of my chest and torn to pieces many times before until now, I don't go out looking for love like I used to. I usually keep to myself and just let things happen. Foolish isn't it? To think that love will just come to you as if it were in the form of a dream. If it were to just happen. I don't really know how love works and I don't really care to find out anymore. All I know is, I'm sick of it. Until I feel like I can love again, I will keep my heart firmly chained down within my chest, I will no longer just hand it out to anyone. From now on, I am protecting it. One thing I've learned from my lessons of past love is that I was vulnurable, I set my heart out there and gave it up to the first person I met that I dated, but that only leads to hurt and pain, I have learned this the hard way and all I can say to those of you who are feeling the same way I do is, don't fall too fast, because if you do, you'll only end up getting hurt in the end...
