The sea breeze was enough to cool down the crew after the scorching hard trip across the desert. There were only a few complications with the ship; what with it falling apart from the attack. A few stops by the wrecks of other ships gave them the supplies to at least sustain themselves. There was also an infestation of rats, that somehow made it onto their ship, but Zee quickly took care of that problem.
The only growing problem was Onima. Her carelessness made the trip a little harder than it already was. Everything from annoying the crew with random inquiries to tangling herself up in the ships mast somehow. It seems nothing would keep the girl out of trouble. Finally...Snappage.
I'M GONNA KILL HER!
ZEE! Calm down! What happened?
We ran outta f***in' food!
What!? But Louie just brought food in her yesterday! Where did all that penguin meat come from!?
Hoppy McRetard fed what was left to the damn seagulls!
...We don't even have vegetables left?
No!
...Zee...
What. She growled.
...Get her.
Tina was now chasing Zee as Zee tore around the ship on all four, chasing a very frightened Onima. Bouncing every other step of her panicked pursuit, Onima jumped out of reach, making her way to the crows nest as Tina tackled Zee to the ground.
Leave her be! She was just being kind to other creatures!
And now she can be kind to me! I wanna be fed too!
She will not feed herself to you!
The next few days were rough. Zee, Zapook, and Louie were all growing more and more aggressive. Even though the hunting was usually good in their current area, they're luck wasn't. Zapook landed the ship and began to look for her counterpart and ship guide to attempt another hunt. Zee was found in the same place she has been for the last hour: sitting in the middle of the ship, staring up at the crow's nest with hopes of Onima coming or even falling down to the deck. After being informed that they were going to attempt another hunt, Zee grumbled, and took off.
Zapook wandered the ship after making her usual rounds to check on her 'second in command' Aussa. She decided to check the beds to see if Aussa was sleeping peacefully there. Aussa was, in fact, there in bed, but she wasn't alone. Louie was looming over her, seemingly debating on what do to as he leaned toward the sleeping Aussa with fangs bared.
An angry shout startled him out of what he was about to do, and he stared back at the doorway.
Zee came back with a large bounty of vegetables, walking vegetables, and meat of all kinds. After a trip to the hold, and a bit of looking around, Zee finally found Zapook in the captain's quarters while gnawing on a raw piece of meat.
Guess who hit pay-dirt on the huntin' trip.
That's nice to hear.
Feelin ok there?
Just wondering what to do. We're coming up on the volcano, and it'd be a huge hassle to fly around it.
So? Cut straight across, save time, and energy.
We'll save time. Not energy. Hunting there is probably going to suck more than hunting in the desert.
Look, I'm ready to get outta here and get home. I say Volcano.
I do as well... Tina and Aussa says we should go around.
Onima?
Still too afraid to come down outta that crows nest. And no, we can't ask Louie.
Yeah...about that...While I was looking for you, I found him beaten bloody in a broom closet, care to explain that?
Nope.
He snapped didn't he?
Yep.
