A-chan's Documents of Complete Randomness
I'm going to write what is ever on my mind in here, Which, well, is always something random. Have fun!
Strange Kindness
Sometimes, strangers astound me. Whether its when someone helps up another who tripped and fell, or someone picking up trash that another left behind-- when random people do random acts of kindness, I become astounded.

This world that we live in is so caught up in itself, that you rarely see these little acts of goodness, so when it happens, I can't help but feel thankful that that person decided to step out of their world and into others'.

Even if it was only to pick up a plastic cup and throw it away.

I was at work the other week, and I was talking to my co-worker Arettier. I told her that even though I love my sister-in-law's sewing machine, I could not get it worked, and that I'd have to have it fixed. Unfortunately, I wanted to sew THEN, and I couldn't afford to repair it, so I'd have to wait.

Suddenly, this older woman-- prolly my mother's age, maybe a little older-- chimes in and says, "I don't mean to eavesdrop, but I have a sewing machine that you can have."

Er, what?

She told me, "I have a sewing machine that you can have. It was given to me eight years ago and I've never opened it. It's never been used once. Would you like it?"

I told her that I'd pay for it.

"Oh, no, no," she says, "It was given to me, so I'll give it to you. When do you work next week so I can drop it off.

I told her that I worked everyday, but I didn't really think that she'd give it to me or even remember about the girl at the shoe store that needed a sewing machine.

But lo and behold, the lady showed up on Thursday afternoon, her grandson toting the box along with her. And then she just handed it to me, told me to use it well, and that she'd be back for more shoes, and to see what I've made with it.

What strange kindness. This lady just gives a complete stranger her sewing machine-- one that's never even been touched-- and she wants to come back and see the results.

And it's not like I don't want Beth's sewing machine, I just cannot afford it. So, I was planning on maybe giving to Katheryn (if Beth lets me, lol), and she could prolly get it fixed.

But still, I jut got this sewing machine for free. She didn't want money, or anything, she just wanted someone to use it. And I get to be that person.

What strange, but remarkable, kindness.

And, the machine runs like a dream.
