How do I know if what you say is true?
How do I know you wont lie to me too?
How do I know that you mean what you say?
How do I know that this time you'll stay?

You've hurt me before
You've done me wrong
Now you run back to me
When you've been gone so long
You say that you're sorry
That you were an a**
You still want to be friends
Even after what's passed

You tell me you love me
You swear that it's true
And even though I shouldn't
I say "Me too."
No matter how badly
You've put me down
I'm never quite able
To think of you with a frown

How do I know if what you say is true?
How do I know you wont lie to me too?
How do I know that you mean what you say?
How do I know that this time you'll stay?

You've hurt me so badly
You've done me so wrong....
Yet I'll say I love you...
