Just kissing the night away
I see you in my dreams
I notice its only you
In the spotlight

You seem to be stealing the show
And then you pull me up on stage
I suddenly become part of this act
This play in my dreams

Life spins you around
And takes you to higher grounds
All that can go wrong
Is plummeting to the ground

It seems like you do a magic trick
You pull your heart out of your sleeve
Are you handing it to me?
Should I take it?

Sure you give me yours
But is this all for show?
Are you just trying to be the best?
Just to impress?

I nervously glance at the audience
The show would be a bust if I didn’t accept it
Oh, you and your tricks and games
All for fame

Later I leave the stage
To return to my seat
In order to watch you perform
Your magic upon my heart

After the show
You pull me aside
You say it wasn’t just a trick
It was a strategy

In order to hook me
Out of thousands of girls, why me?
You claim you followed your heart

My heart instantly melted
My heart was beating out of my chest
My head was spinning
My palms were clammy

In my bed, I spring up
Fluttering my eyes
