PERSONALITY
[Nicholas is insatiably Curious, and a Free-Spirit. he loves learning, and loves investigating even more. he dreams of becoming an Auror, but acknowledges that his own nature may make that difficult. even so, he has a backup plan: freelance private invistigating.
Nich also loves to experiment. he tends to run lots of excursions into restricted areas in search of potions ingrediants to try out, and finds the risk of trouble to be an exciting bonus. almost as exciting as the results of his experiments. only his academic integrity and devotion has kept him from being outright expelled for his misbehaviors. he walks on very thin ice.
despite his household containing only himself, his brother and his sister as Wizards/Witches, he has gained the respect of a handful of Slytherins in his time in Hogwarts. this may be due to his willingness to promote magical achievment, his disregard for school rules, or his nigh arrogant self-confidence and Pride. he tends to be very laid-back, smirking often. some find it charming, while others find it irritating.
while talkative and social, Nich isn't nessasarilly a people-person. he is often found looking for alone time, and only truely opens up to his cats. when not fooling around and flashing his dandy smile, he holds a more stoic personality, not realy caring what others think of him..]

Weaknesses: he is phobically afraid of roaches, and self-conscious about his sexuality being revealed. he has a short temper when it comes to dealing with his father.
Strengths: is very stealthy and skilled at potion-brewing. his charms are pretty good too, but he especially excells at potions. he is also top-notch at Magical Creature Care and Divination, as well as Transmogrifications.
Secrets: Optional Nicholas is Bisexual, and keeps it to himself.
Patronus: Nich's Patronus takes the form of a Leopard.
Boggart: a boggart in front of Nicholas turns into a roach large enough to kill, but small enough to crawl on his body.

Appearence:
Nich is 5' 10" and weighs 128 lbs. his hair is shoulder-length and dark brown, and his eyes are brown. he has a goatie and sideburns, and his chest, arms and legs are hairy. he has a slight acne problem.
he wears rounded rectangular spectacles and likes button-up shirts or sweaters, and long pants. he wears sandals with socks, or else his boots or moccasins. he sometimes wears his hair in a ponytail, and always has a hair-tie in his pocket.

Detailed:
Nich is the son of a Muggle and a Mudblood, as it has often been put. of mainly Scottish descent, he has grown tall, lean, and rugged. as a child he appeared very effeminate, and was often mistaken for a girl with his long golden hair and soft delicate features. growing older, his features sharpened, become more chiselled, his hair darkened to a dark brown, and he grew a certain abundance of facial and body hair. he was always a bookworm, and so grew tall but lanky, and pale-skinned. his eyesight became poor due to late-night reading, and he now wears glasses.
when he was 12 years old, Nich joined Hogwarts and was placed rather quickly in the Ravenclaw House. he has always had a certain mischievous streak, and tended to hang out with Slytherins more than anyone else. his natural curiosity and disregard for rules landed him in lots of trouble, and he has narrowly escaped expulsion numerous times. he has been held back twice.
two and a half years ago he was given two kittens as a present. he has cared for them ever since. he named them Morgan and Tristan, and they are his closest friends.
he has learned in his hometown that it is better to hide his true self from people. he has been openly called a f** for his relationship to a neighbor's son he grew up with. they broke up, and Nich has kept his bisexuality a secret in every new place he visits, even pretending in his hometown that it was just a "phase".
growing up wasn't easy, as the man his mother married wasn't his biological father. he feels abandoned by the man who sired him, and resentfull towards him. and his stepfather, though he considers his dad, doesn't think very highly of him. the two are always bickering.

his stepfather is a Muggle, and his mom is a Squib. they live in Scottland, and his younger Brother and Sister go to a local Wizarding School there. his biological father moved to America, and doesn't get along with him.

Personality: Morgan is a Stoic, Motherly type of cat, who has a strong Independant streak but will watch over Nich and Tristan devotedly. she is Unafraid, and very Strong-Willed. Tristan is lazier, and considerably more Cautious. he religiously tries to mate with female cats though. he has given up on trying to get with Morgan however, after a year of getting the s**t beat out of him by her. he will often wander off to be unseen for days, only to return with tufts of fur missing, and small gashes and scabs all over his body. he never seems to mind his wounds though, and will just eat and sleep.
