I woke up and smiled. Today was the day of the dance. Dancing instead of classes sounded great to me. I rushed to the vanity mirror and put on my wonderful frilled dress, hose, shoes and the bracelets i bought.
Lady Kurai walked in and handed me a small box. "Open it," she smiled lightly.
Inside was a deep purple gem necklace, and a black jeweled silver head dress, "They belonged to your mother, she liked to collect simple and rare jewelry." She took the necklace and draped it over my neck, "I promised to give your this necklace when you were ready."
It went so well with my dress. I never looked better! i set a small silver tiara on my head and connected it wiith the lavender head band. One last touch, my scarf, and i was ready to meet Raina, who Lyon still had not asked out, so we were all going together.
When i saw her i smiled. She had a long pretty dress on and her hair was half up and curled. "Hi, Pyrien!"
'Hey Raina!" we complimented and stood waiting for the rest. Next to show was Salvi and Lynn. Yaelyn was wearing a short green, gold lined dress and shoes to match. The other girl had a short red dress with black tights underneath and red laced combat boots on. A skull pin adorned her hair.
The red head smiled, "Ryun will be here soon with Lyon," she explained, "They had to get all prettied up!"
Lynn giggled. A few more minuets passed and lunch time rolled around.
"Where are they?" Raina complained loudly into her hands, which covered her face.
I only shrugged, but my eyes cought sight of blonde and red. Lyon was dressed in slacks and an untucked shirt with a greenish vest on. in his left hand was a small daisy wrapped in a lovely bouquet, he handed that to Yaelyn. In his right hand was a bouquet with a single rose. That went to Raina of course.
Ryun gave his little sister a flower and hid something in his jacket pocket. We then had lunch. Lyon looked at his watch and smiled, "We should get going..."
The dance had already started but wasnt full yet. People were scattered around the room, talking and some dancing. Raina had a huge grin, "I love this song!" she grabbed Lyon's hand, causing him to blush, "let's go dance!"
I laughed along with Salvi and suprisingly enough, Lynn. Ryun leaned against the wall and sighed, watching them. I could see it in his face that he wanted to dance with someone. I grinned, 'Hey Kanryun," I walked to him, "I think Lynn wants to dance..."
To my suprise he only nodded, "I know," he looked at me, "but I'm not the kind to dance to this crap..."
I nodded and walked away, back to Lynn and Salvi. Salvi was hopping to the beat and smiling, but Lynn kept glancing over at Ryun.
I felt bad for her, but...happy for myself. My face lit up red and I bit my lip. Salvi giggled when a song popped on. She ran to her brother and dragged him to the dance floor beside Lyon and Raina. She started bouncing to the beat, "C'mon Ryun, Please?" A small pink lower lip popped out and her eyes got big.
He sighed and started dancing akwardly to the hip hop tune. I giggled watching him dance with her with the 'oh dear help me' face.
About and hour passed and the room was near full. The DJ was playing a mix of some popular song. Suddenly the music stopped, "Okay, I think it's time we slow it down a bit, pick a partner and let's slow it up!" I stood with Lynn and Salvi, cooing at the cute couples, especially Raina and Lyon.
Lyon was holding her against his chest and was swinging her around gently. Her eyes closed and a smile appeared on her face. Her peaceful face made me squeal, "They are so cute!" Salviette nodded.
Lynn smiled and walked up to them, "Can i cut in?" Lyon asked her for one more second, and even more suprisingly Lynn nodded.
The blonde boy swung her around one more time and llifted her face to stare into her eyes. Me and Salvi squealed as we saw what was coming. His lips pressed against hers.
The song continued as he switched partners. Raina walked over with a heaven on earth expression. I smirked, "He kissed me..." We talked for only a few seconds before my hand was taken into someone elses. I looked up into bright green eyes. A light blush spread across my face as he led me to the dance floor.
My heart raced as his hand settled on my waist and his other hand squeased mine. I breathed llightly and felt my face heat up. my mind drifted to what happened to Raina when she danced and my face burned.
I pulled away when the image of his lips pressing against mine. He stepped towards me with a worried expression on his face, "Are you okay?" I nodded and smiled, "Thanks for the dance!" I managed to pipe out before I rushed back to Salvi, who had a devious grin upon her face.
"What?" I whispered to her.
"Nothing, nothing." sho rolled her eyes and went to finish the dance with her older brother.
The dance ended and we all walked home together. Raina was pressed against Lyon's side the entire time. Yaelyn wasn't really all that bothered about it, though.
I said good-bye to them when I got to my door. I opened the door and a suprise was awaiting me in the kitchen.
"Kiari?" I squealed and ran over. She stood up and hugged me, "Hey, Pyrien!"
Kiari was an old friend of mine from Elderine, "I called up Kurai and she told me you needed an old friend so I moved out here!!"
This made my day better!
Well, time for bed!!Dancing made me exhausted!! ♥♥ Pyrien
