Once again I'll look to see
if you ever came back to me
My dear and loving inspiration
left without an explanation
I haven't given up the heart to my words
my mouth and hands just refused to tell
All the things in life i'd find alluring or absurd
have been piling up inside this empty shell
I hardly knew her but she could see my heart
the man beyond the face, close to the true self
the reason for my literary works of art
but it seems it is time to retire to the shelf
It was a love of mystery i couldn't start to explain
An admiration so true i did not understand
equal ground met without sacrifice or gain
never a dull moment nothing ever seemed bland
out of the blue she was gone, thus this my final crochet
a momento to you my sweet siren of the night
for in you i found my motivation for such vivid display
My only wish is this last melody would be brought to your light
