Yesterday was the final day of my training. The local educator came out and gave me my test and followed me to observe my technique. 94% on the test and very little that I did wrong on the floor. smile I am an official PCT. After 6 months when I do my catheter training, I'll sign up to take the test to become a CHHT. Basically, I'm working now, but will be certified after taking the board testing for Hemodialysis Technicians. There was a bit there where I didn't think I would be able to do it, but I stuck with it and here I am! I did it! ^.^
Now I have to get serious about starting back to school and either getting my RN or my BSN. I am making better money now and have a stable, steady job with little or no fear of losing it. But the pay difference between a RN/BSN and a CHHT is phenomenal. I would only have to do clinicals before getting my nursing degree. There's no reason not to do it. I think, after we buy a house this summer, I'm going to go ahead and do it. Probably will finish up any outstanding prerequisites and then apply for whichever degree I can get into clinicals faster.
Oh, it's exciting. My life is moving forward. Finally! I have a career I can be proud of and move up in and be happy with! I have a family and friends that I love. I am going to have a little house of my own, maybe get a puppy dog. I'll finally make my own little nest in this world, just for me and mine. smile

Eh. Whatever I want to put here. :P
I know there's a place you walked where love falls from the trees
My heart is like a broken cup, I only feel right on my knees
I spit out like a sewer hole yet still receive your kiss
How can I measure up to anyone now
After such a love as this?
