Yo - t'is a header, yo. I''ll be all over yo'' place.
Durgan Gets Told
After a night of feasting, Durgan retreated back to the slums, passing the greeting whores at its borders to head for his home. They were a depressing cesspool of mental illnesses, genital disease and solvent sniffing, but they all had a higher social status than him, and he was grateful for the times when they had unused rooms to spare.

Durgan glanced at the avatar: "While you are beyond any mortal argument, your ever-present peace bothers me in a place such as this. I don't understand why a daughter should need to escape her father trying to murder her. I see no justice in the demise of these people."
"How lucky you are to have someone to answer your prayers.", she replied. "Yet your stubborn mortal mind still clings to all these blasphemous concepts and concerns because it cannot comprehend the whole of my divinity. There isn't a single thing in this world which I have not allowed and do not cherish. In everything you build in my name, you also destroy. Human intolerance creates but ripples on my eternal surface. What you see here is just a tiny part of the world in motion."
Durgan clenched his teeth in bitterness. "Those trying to exterminate my race, they are all really part of your loving plan?"
"If every member or your race is slowly tortured to death, I assure you that their cries will all satisfy me.", the goddess replied with a kind smile. "Humans have always strived to become like gods, and you are no different, but even the wisest of you are but children compared to me. I understand that you do not trust me, and would like to measure me with human measures, and perhaps defeat me in battle so that you can reign over the world, but I answer to no one. Even the side that you see in me, Durgan, is only a reflection in your own mind. You are a living proof that sometimes rape is sweeter than love. Your darkest nightmares are filled with unconditional love. Would you wish for them all to suffer this fate instead?"
Durgan didn't waste time answering that. There were far crueler fates than what these people suffered.
