My heart is a sea full of turmoil
the waves crashing
the skies breaking
the lightning thrashing me
punishing me for daring to hope for something more
keeping me from the shore

i can't bear this weight
this heartbreak
i don't know how much more i can take
i think this the last breath i will make
when out comes the sun teasing me from between the clouds
its light streaming down onto me bathing me in warmth

then i hear thunder
i see the clock
it's time for you to go
the light
the warmth
it all starts to wane
oh god this unbearable pain
