Nai stared out the car window silently listening to the faint breathing of her twin. It was well past midnight and they had been moving for well over five hours. Nai just could not fall asleep. She was numb and uncomfortable but wariness at an unknown danger kept her wide awake. She hated that ability it never let her rest or stop worrying about her seemingly dark future. She was only six, barely six years of age and already she knew she was cursed to horrible fate. Her death at the hands of another and the pain of reawakening without the comfort of her beloved sister.
They were hardly similar and if a stranger saw them together he would think they were best friends. Ianna stood straght with her hands clasped together and her feet well planted. Nai rarely stood so stiffly she was more loose than her sister but could stiffen when threatened by another and would easily fight him. Ianna always relied on Nai without the strength to protect herself. Their tidienss also set them apart. Ianna with her neatly brushed black hair with white bow perched atop her head. Nai on the other hand tied her hair in a little tail at the base of her neck allowing her fringe to cover her dangerous blue eyes.
Nai looked back at the sleeping form of her sister and smiled at her purity. Nai was all but pure, had Ianna known what she had done to rid herself of their interfearing siblings her heart would surely break.
Glancing out the window into the midnight black streets she suddenly saw something. 'I have seen that before...' she thought baffled also recognising the streets they now rode through. She gasped in horror and turned sharply to see through the other window a black car speeding towards Iannas door.
"NO!!!" she screamed "NO!!!" She had known. She had known that this would happen.
She had seen it all in a dream and now it was too late.
That was the day Nai's heart died.
